I had a job that brought me to all corners of the State of Maine over the years, and I have to say that this is without a doubt... one of the best restaurants in the entire state. From the road it looks like a farm stand/store, but once you're inside you getto see the scope of this incredible business. It is a combination resturant/bakery/gift shop. The restaurant is great with hugeportions of homemade meals that will fill even the biggest appetite. In addition on many days they feature a special of atraditional Acadian dish. Go for it if it's available! The service is friendly and speedy, and as I said always delicious. Wewere stuffed after lunch and our waitress tried to convince us to try the peach cobbler for dessert. We had to pass, but shestill brought us "samples" of it to try - incredible. The atmosphere is cozy, comfortable and casual but what else would youexpect from a converted barn? I can't say enough good things about Misty Meadows, other than to make sure to stop in if you'reup in the St John Valley! Read more

Make Misty Meadows a destination! Before heading out on our wheeler ride (the trail is right across the road, excellent trails),... we had a very tasty breakfast which included toast made of homemade bread, local made jams and great coffee. Crafts for purchase are displayed throughout the dining room so we were surrounded with unique and interesting wooden wall hangings, aprons, knitted items, baskets, food items, bird houses, paintings and other special items. Everyone was very friendly. And for ourtrail ride, we bought some tasty pastries from the bakery in the store. Read more

Oh my, if you are into farming, farm food, good food, fresh food - this is the place to go! We travel to the region often and we... just love this place. Staff is warm and friendly, place is clean AND the food is fresh - and they give you a lot! Want to playtractor checkers? They have that too. If you bring your wife, you may have to hold on to your wallet, the gift shop is awesome -a lot of farm centric items including fresh jams, baked goods and eggs, including duck eggs! Visit and enjoy! There is only onenegative for me, they close for the winter :( Read more
