We've gone to Cafe Rio for years and over the past year the Grand Junction locations customer service is awful. On Sunday Oct.... 9th we went in for a mid day lunch. The server at the line was not listening to us and kept forgetting what we said because shewas having a conversation with another employee about Netflix shows. The gentlemen at the cashier told us we asked for extrapork when we didn't although we said we would pay for it. I checked my receipt and was also charged for a large lime pie which Ididn't order. When I asked and started checking the the food the girl at the service line raised her voice and said that is yourfood. When I told her being rude is not going to help the situation she roller her eyes. It took the gentlemen two times torefund the correct amount. Neither apologized except the girl told the person behind me that she was sorry some people have tobe annoying. They would not give me their names and laughed when I walked away. Read more

I worked for this place yrs ago, never paid me. I called the better business bureau, they kept telling me the check was supposed... to be on its way, wait another month for 6mo until they said now the case is closed and it can't be reopened. They made me standup in front of the whole restaurant and sing happy birthday at my interview, then sing idiotic songs while cutting with a sharpknife for what was supposed to be $8/hr, never paid me a dime, mgr always hid when I showed up wouldn't answer calls. Really wish they would clean the restaurant and the employees. Everything is always filthy. They fill up the horchata with a... bucket that hasn't been washed in months. The drink station is a serious health hazard. The trash cans are always overflowingand he employees uniforms are always filthy. I was going to this location frequently and gave them a pass during the covidtimes. There is no excuse now. It is clear the manager or franchisee is a filthy person that does not have any cleanlinessstandards. It's sad because the food is pretty good and cheap for the portions. Read more

Friendly, fast and very good food. Tortillas made on site so very fresh. Had a great chicken asado burrito! Good sized portions... and worth it. Read more
The staff was great, happy & easy going. Loved the hot sauces & food was fresh!
Ordered pork salad. Meat portion was pathetic! Tortilla had been sitting on the grill for who knows how long... Dried out, cold... and hard... Pretty sad! Read more
