My family and I had a great dining experience here. They renovated the inside it looks much classier than it was before.
Everything was good, food and service. Would have gave a better score but the outside tables and chairs were blinding me. Bright... aluminum tables while nice looking are not great in the sun. Read more
I will give the benefit of the doubt for the service but it should be made aware. I am sadly not "Karen" enough or willing to... call people out in public, but I was not happy leaving there. I go there often. Service is typically decent. I just paid $54 forsomething that I truly wish I had not. This is my experience... 1. Waited over five minutes to get seated, then was pointed to aseat and not given menus or anything else for about 3 more minutes. 2. Waited over 5 min for anyone to come and take orders.(While waiting another family came and waited close to 10 mins to be seate,, there were plenty of seats). 3. My 11 year old washanded my adult beverage. Also asked if it was on separate bills. (Apparently my 11 year old looks like an adult....not even close with their baby face). 4. The number that I ordered for my child was the plate #7 but we received #6. He argued with mesaying I said 6. I said 7 but I wasn't going to argue so asked I'd we could get #7. We kept the #6, to not waste food I guess.And he didn't seem to want to take it back. 5. He didn't bring silverware until I asked. Which was after he brought the #7, thatwas ordered after the original food came. 5. He never once asked if i wanted more to drink, only coming to our table once tohand a take out container, once to take plates and once to give bill. 6. I paid for all of it. I didn't eat much because theexperience made me sick. Just not his day I suppose. I will go back but not for a long time. I left there crying. I work inservice and even on my bad days I will treat everyone with respect and do my job properly to the best of my ability. I try myhardest to accommodate my customers within our regulations. very typical mexican...large portions...sat outside...a nice experience...will go again...
Overall the food was good, but service was lacking. Took longer than expected to be seated with a party of 6, approximately 15... minutes. Tables were open but not cleared. Once seated the server could not understand the order, and made multiple unsuccessfulattempts to take the order. Finally he got another server to come with him to the table and we were able to order. My personalorder was repeated a total of 4 times, and there was no modification to the dish. It took about 25 minutes to complete orderingalone. It was frustrating to say the least. The chips were fresh and hot, and the salsa was great! Once the food made it's wayto the table it was pretty good. The shrimp were not over cooked and snapped when you bit into them. Was it the best Mexicanmeal I have ever had, no. But it was above average. What tarnished the experience was the service aspect. Not sure if the serverwas new, or there was a language barrier or something else... But there is an opportunity to improve. I would like to go againand try out some of the other dishes. Read more
First time there, it was good. Mainly fish and shellfish and shrimp and oysters on menu. Staff was really nice, food was good... as well. Came in a ballooned plastic bag, ordered with garlic and butter. Yum. Read more
We were 1 of 3 tables in the restaurant. They started taking our order and left in the middle and did not return. A different... waiter came to take our order and answered the phone walking away again mid-order. Then all the waiters were in the dining roomwatching the World Cup instead of finishing taking our order. I finally flagged them over. When we finally got out food, theyset an extremely hot plate holding my tostada in front of my 9 year old across the table from our table of 6 people. I had tograb it to bring it over to my side of the table and burned my finger leaving a red burn. Absolutely unacceptable, that couldhave burned my kid and I would have been super upset. Absolutely unacceptable behavior by the staff and I will never return tothe Grand Ledge restaurant again. Read more
