Little different dining experience where you seat yourself, order online, and pay right away. Staff very friendly. I liked being... able to order and pay in one go personally so when we were done eating, could leave without waiting to pay. So, I recently went to this establishment with some friends and while the service was friendly it was not overall... satisfactory. The overall aesthetic was super minimalist with some ambient sound but the smells were amazing. The entireprocess of ordering was done via our smartphones and expected to pay and tip before we got our food. The Twisted Reuben wasfairly good, the portion was average but, there was not any options to have combo meal and so everything is a la carte. Theservice was fairly slow as there were only five customers in the joint and it just felt overall underwhelming. A group of us met at Crossroads. Food was excellent as was the service. I brought home a deconstructed rueben sandwich for my... husband. He's enjoying it now. I only wish that when eating in, the containers/silverware were recycled or non-throwaway. Ireally appreciated the setting and the ability to hear others and the generous space between tables! My husband and I went to Crossroads Barbecue today and were blown away by how good the food tasted. The employee we spoke with... was great- he clarified the order before preparing and everything was done as requested. Food was not great, service was incredibly slow, and there were no drinks/refills (only canned soda and small bottled... water). We had 8 people order at the same time. It came out about 2 people at a time spread across 20 minutes. Almost half thegroup was done eating when the last finally their food. The food itself was not good, though some was decent (sweet potatoeswere great). The smoked chicken tasted like they used about a gallon of liquid smoke on it - might as well have eaten it out ofan ash tray - no other flavor at all. Two of the sandwiches were so smothered with their house mustard that you literallycouldn't taste anything else. And the brisket was fine, but very lacking in flavor. Unfortunately, the sides and the sauces werethe best parts... And the real kicker on all of it was the drinks. 10oz water bottles were provided and the only other optionswere paying vending machine prices for cans of soda or bottles of water. It was annoying at best. Long story short, I would notrecommend this restaurant to anyone whether you typically like barbecue or not. If you typically do, you'll be disappointed. I got a pulled pork sandwich today and idk guys, you asked me 3 times I think if I wanted slaw on my sandwich or on the side. I... love pulled pork with slaw on it, so of course asked for it on the sandwich, well, it wasn't on my sandwich, or on the side, noslaw to be found anywhere. Within 5 minutes of leaving I ate the sandwich, the bottom bread was so soggy it was gross. The porkhad a vary odd almost chemical taste? That I've been burping all day so that's odd and gross, sorry for that readers. TheCarolina mustard sauce is really good, and I was fed lunch, I got to eat, so not all bad, just not much good either.
