We have been wanting to try this place since first coming to Grand Manan 2 years ago, but they were closed due to Covid. Today... was the last day of our vacation so we stopped in for some pizza. We picked ?The Halifax? which is a donair style pizza. Ourthree young children and my husband and I devoured this pie!! It was delicious! The donair meat was perfectly seasoned and thecrust was just how we like it?soft, but slightly crispy on the outside. The owner chatted with us and brought our pup some freshwater. Usually eating pizza is a disappointing experience for me. I grew up near Little Italy in Montreal to Italian parents and well,... I just can't eat any old pizza. This postoffice pizza is so delicious I would say it's my new number 1. The sauce isperfect-it's not overly sweet, not overloaded with spices, it's bright red, pulpy and fresh tasting-this is the kind of sauceyou get in a fine cuisine italian restaurant. The crust-OMG the crust is baked to perfection. It's perfectly crispy. Theingredients are fresh and not-the sausage is actual sausage not some red-tinted rubbery meat. I ordered the Crick and it wasfabulous. The owners are friendly and super chill. If you visit Grand Manan and you don't stop here you're truly missing out. Read more

We were excited to try this pizza, happy to be on the island again after 10 years. Our first interaction involved Walter rudely... correcting me on his "Grand Mananer" pizza. I called it the "Grand Mariner" after reading it off a very poorly handwritten sign.Another sign pointed leftward to see the menu. I couldn't find it. Walter rudely said "it's up on the wall". We're talking wayup the wall. So I ordered a Crick. Cost: over $40. But he said "we'll settle up later" which was odd. He said around 430 pizzawould be ready, so we went outside to wait. I returned at the appointed hour, asked if it was ready. He pretended he couldn'thear me asking about it. I was wearing a K95 mask, as my wife is immunocompromised. Maybe he couldn't hear me well, but his bodylanguage said he was annoyed I was back so soon for the pizza. He said "it's in the oven". I left. Waited another half hour. Bythis time I was steamed at his obvious passive aggressive pantomime. We should have left then. But around 5 pm I went back in toget the pizza. He shows me the pizza, I pick it up, drop it on the counter in front of me, but I'm prepared to keep my mouthshut, pay and leave. Then Walter asks "Are you upset?" So I answer honestly. I say " yes, actually, I thought you were kind ofrude." So he picks up the pizza, snatches it back through his little window and says "Have a good day." It's five o'clock.Walter knows the only other pizza place is closed, so we will suffer. Nope. Went up the road to High Seas takeout and got wholeclams, fries and 2 desserts for less than Walter's pizza. And we were well treated. Walter's Postoffice Pizza was the mostnegative customer experience of our lives. We're still in shock. The passive aggressive nastiness of Walter's conduct wasobvious and vindictive. We will never darken your door again, Walter. Love Grand Manan, every other experience was wonderful.Durgin-Park in Boston closed. Maybe surly service isn't so satisfying today.
