Ordered the burger. Made it very clear to be cooked mid-well. Came to the table well done. Wife sent her salmon back as it was... over cooked also. The mixologist behind the bar was the best! Very good drinks. I would go back just for the drinks. Read more
Bar Divani was a quaint restaurant with an old school lounge ambiance. There are dark colors and low lighting. The food overall... was quite good, although I don’t know what the heck happened to the bread, it was genuinely the worst bread I have ever had.No taste, no browning, very soft, very cold, it was like wet flour. They served it with a roasted red pepper butter which hadgreat color but again practically no taste. It was all calories for no payoff. Anyways, the rest of the food was good! Steakwas cooked well and the red wine sauce was yum. A quick note that they only have one stall bathroom for each gender, so therewas quite a line at times which was annoying. We had a wonderful time at Divani’s. The food and service was top notch. We tried so many restaurants at Grand Rapids but this... restaurant was number one on our list. They were so accommodating and kind to us. Everyone in our group of 12 loved theirorders. The duck three ways, BBQ ribs and bistro fillet were AMAZING. For appetizers, pierogis, crab cake, guacamole and salsa,and of course cheese tray were our top favorites. Read more
Friends of ours have been ranting and raving about this place for a while now. We stopped in late one night for a few drinks.... The two people behind the bar were extremely kind. The bartender, Marcus (if I remember right) was and is exceptional at what hedoes. He made us a bunch of spin off drinks, his own recipes/twist and oh my goshhhh, they were AMAZING!!!!!! I cannot wait togo back. I have been telling everyone about this place and the bartender who makes top notch drinks!!! I’ll have to try thefood next time :). Read more
We stopped in for drinks and our waitress + the bartender were AMAZING! They were fun friendly and helped guide us toward some... amazing cocktails and new things we have never tried before. The food is probably hands down better than the other two very pricey steak restaurants in downtown GR. We had a small wedding... here in 2019 and have been back for our anniversary dinner each year since. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Read more
My husband and I made a reservation here for our 2nd year anniversary. It is not a cheap restaurant but the price you pay is... well worth the experience. From the moment we walked in the service was welcoming and professional. The hostess kindly greetedus and immediately made us feel like old friends. Our waitress also made us feel like we were her only customers and wanted usto know details about the special and other menu items. The food was delicious. We had the charcuterie board and guacamole/salsaintroductions. For the main course we had the bistro filet and the barbecue duck. Both cooked perfectly with deliciousvegetables sides. They graciously gave us a complimentary dessert in honor of our anniversary. As we dined our water was keptfull but we were not constantly being disturbed. It was a beautiful evening sharing a special occasion at a restaurant I wouldhighly recommend to anyone looking for a “fine dining” experience. Read more
Bar Divani hosted our elopement reception a few weeks ago, and it was a 12/10 experience from start to finish. They were really... quick with communication leading up to the day which I greatly appreciate! The food & drinks were INCREDIBLE, and the servicewas amazing.
