My husband and I were in the Grand Rapids/Rockford area visiting our adult son and his lovely wife. They suggested El Agave as... they had dined there before. The margaritas were delicious, and you could order a few different sizes. The offer and endlessnumber of great tequilas too. My beef taco salad was very good and so was the salsa. I waited 50 minutes after placing my order at the restaurant just to be told (when I finally got a chance to ask someone; they... were super busy) that their online ordering system is no longer working, but that they could start making the food after thatpoint. I chose to walk out. When they get rid of their current online ordering system, and get things working properly again,I'll come back and erase this bad review. Their food is normally good - but 100% unacceptable to keep an online ordering systemup that isn't working. What are they thinking? Read more

Problem wasn't just with the meal last weekend, but what followed.. When the server Juan was writing our credit card data into... his notebook while running through their merchant service credit card swipe, we questioned the need to notate and he assured itwas due to issues the card swipe console had been having. 3 days later, we had a fraudulent charge on our card! The food was very good. Although our server/bartender didn't take a single thing off our table the whole entire visit. So we had... many empty glasses and plates stacked. Amazing service, food, and everything! My parents and I had been coming here for a couple years now. They have been so friendly... towards us, especially when my father passed away. One of the waiters (who always talk to us when we visit) was about to crywhen my mom told him the news. The staff has treated us like their family. My mom and I appreciate them and the food. This place is the BEST! My family eats dinner here all the time. Not only is the food AMAZING, but they are fast and the staff... is so friendly! The food was good and the drinks were great! I had the carnitas tacos and my husband had the steak over rice with sauce. I... didn't like the rice but the beans were good.
