Field & Fire Cafe was an unexpected surprise. Having been through for coffee several times while showing condos on Monroe, I was... aware of this spot but hadn?t actually sat down to take more of it in. The pastries were so amazing they were devoured before Ihad a chance to snap photos, so standby for more. If you stop in, get a few pastries with your coffee?hungry or not. You won?tregret it. What I was completely unprepared for was the breakfast. This isn?t a hosted restaurant where you?re sat down andtaken care of by one person, you order at the counter and sit down, so the fast-food style order of things didn?t prepare me forwhat was to come. I ordered eggs benedict and they knocked it out of the park. The food was delivered to our table within acouple minutes and everything was cooked to perfectly. Oh, and the coffee is FANTASTIC. This place was great! The interior is deceivingly large, with plenty of space for eating indoors, surrounded by bright colors... and with local photography pieces decorating the walls. My friend ordered a turkey club and I had a resolution bowl. Both mealswere excellent, with good portions, photogenically served. It's a crime I didn't take a picture. I highly recommend adding themushrooms to the resolution bowl! It left me feeling resolved to go back! Read more

Perfect place to stop for breakfast. Fresh made bread and pastries, healthy and vegan options, and local coffee. Serving sizes... are large and the pricing of items is great based on serving size, a problem I often run into with high quality breakfast. Lotsof outdoor seating and plentiful parking in a district that is much less busy than downtown. Read more

On my travels from Denver I?m glad I found this little gem. Warm with mid-west pleasantries, pastries, balanced coffee, and a... hot mess skillet, this made our ?Don?t miss stop? in Grand Rapids. At F&F, even a simple baguette boasts a creamy sourdoughstarter and mixed grains of rye & wheat. (60-2-2, I bet they followed all the rules?) It is totally delicious?I not sure it evenneeds butter. I?ve eaten here several times and found it very good. Staff are helpful and friendly. Usually get an americano or carmel latte,... both are excellent. Latest stop I had the American breakfast, it was delicious, and the jelly was super! They carry some greatbreads, and good pastries to go along with a coffee break. Very clean, I really like this place, and the shelters are veryclean as well. Definitely a nice place to stop at. Off street parking is a big plus. Read more

We had a great visit at the Roeda Studio near by and we needed nourishment. Although there isn't lots of signage and in spite... that we had never been there, we were very happy to find it! Every aspect of the visit was nice & eat. The food was great & wewould certainly visit again. I had the American breakfast, with whole wheat toast and scrambled eggs. It came with bacon, greatpotatoes, which were organic I guess & onions. I'm not sure what the jam was but it was delicious. It all tasted great! I evenhad to protect some of my food from my wife who wanted to eat more of my food. My wife had the cinnamon oatmeal, I can'tremember the name, but she ate it all up. Read more
