Gorgeous presentation of dishes -the Oaxacan marg with mezcal is a smoky dream! We got sopes, octopus ceviche, a tamal stack,... the pork belly, and four leches cake. The best for me, by far was the margarita and gratis tortilla chips. I also enjoyed thetamal stack. The pork belly was a bit dry and went unfinished. The cake was interesting in novel execution (fruity), but notvery flavorful. I probably also would not reorder. Our waitress was a smidge slow, but very friendly. Everything was just OK at MeXo today. The margaritas are unique compared to other places in the area, but definitely light on... the tequila. The guacamole and chips were good, but the guac portion was misleading with a large chunk of avocado at the bottom.The tacos were the biggest disappointment, all 3 came out cold after a half hour wait to get them (it was not busy either). Hadthey been warm, they probably would've been much better. Other than the food, the interior is great and our server was veryfriendly. It is certainly possible this was just an off day, but we wouldn't recommend MeXo over some of the other great optionsin the area for similar cuisine. Read more

Love this place. It’s a vegan gem. The sikil p’aak (pumpkin seed dip) is delicious. Their pre-hispanic dinner series is SO... fun! It’s the perfect date night spot. Staff are friendly and attentive. Read more

Great bar and restaurant. Only went there for drinks so can't comment on food. They have a nice selection of Mezcal as well as... Tequila. The bartenders were super friendly and knowledgeable of their drinks. Highly recommend Read more

The restaurant was nice but could use a little more ambience. The decorations were fine but the table layout and seating wasn't... what I had hoped for. The food was excellent, although a little pricey. A full course meal for 2 was about $110 with tip. Icompare that to other top end restaurants in GR and it's just ok. The wait staff did a pretty good job although I did find itodd that the server wasn't the same person delivering the dishes to the table. I hope the tip was split otherwise we probablyovertipped. One of the best Mexican experiences I have had. The flavors of the food where wonderful. We came in thinking it would be an... average taco place, but it blew away all expectations. It is a must go if you come to Grand Rapids. Make sure you reserve atable early as it fills up quickly. Try to reserve at least 3 days in advance, or a week before is even better. Read more
