I love Pho soup, but this was a complete disappointment!! I ordered the beef Pho, but no beef I just wanted the broth. The... broth was sweet! Seems like they put a ton of sugar in It! I never had Pho that tasted sweet. It destroyed my expenses. Cold, rainy day - I wanted a traditional Pho! Read more

Doesn't say anywhere I could tell but in-store that food is takeout only and served raw for you to take home and cook. They say... that there are cooking instructions provided but that comes down to 'boil in the broth, don't eat raw meat.' No surprise itturned out nothing like the photos look or like I've had before. Really great pho. I'm always skeptical of take out pho but it's the only option right now. I wouldn't recommend getting it take... out unless you have a way to reheat the broth before combining the other ingredients. Huge portion, I couldn't fit it all inthis giant bowl that has worked at another similarly price vietnamese spot, definitely a bigger portion and the best I've tastedaround here. I see a lot of comments about rude service, I think it's a cultural thing, staff in real vietnamese restaurants aretypically hurried and curt. I lived in the bay area for years which has dozens of great vietnamese/pho spots and it sometimesseemed like the more curt the staff the better the food. Read more

The Beef Pho is fantastic, it's a lot of food (I nearly always have leftovers for a snack later) and it especially hits the spot... on a cold day. I am thoroughly impressed with their iced coffee. Both strong and sweet, it has everything I look for in an icedcoffee, plus is a great deal in my opinion at $3. I haven't tried the Chicken Pho or the Bahn Mi, but they look lovely! Thespring rolls are different from any I've ever had, and the fresh mint leaves in them is a bit strong for my taste, but they arevery fresh tasting and well made with awesome big shrimp, so if that flavor profile is what you prefer, very good I'm sure. This place has some of the freshest foods with the most authentic flavors. While I haven?t actually had their pho, I?ve tried... the bahn mi and the spring rolls. Both are some of my favorite things to get from the whole market! Prices are very fair andtheir staff is very friendly. Wait times can be a little longer, but that?s because all of their food is assembled right infront of you. Great place to stop for a meal! Read more

I'd heard good things about this restaurant and have been wanting to give it a shot. There were only 5 items on the menu,... usually a good sign for a restaurant as you can specialize in those 5 things and do them well. Ironically however when orderingthe beef pho, I was told they were out of rice noodles and would take 30 minutes to prepare more. If your main focus is noodlesoup and you aren't prepared with noodles, not a great start. I offered to wait for the noodles. I also ordered spring rollsonly to find out they were out as well. Strike two. After paying for my order to-go (they accept debit) I was asked if I wouldprefer to take an already prepared chicken order, have the chicken removed and replaced with beef. I thought it an odd requestbut the appeal of not having to wait an additional 30 minutes swayed me to say yes. I was then provided with pho in a take outcontainer made of what appeared to be "water proof" biodegradable cardboard. The entire order was placed in a plastic bag. Bythe time we got our order home, the container had predictably warped (see photos below) and the bag contained some of my soup.It seemed like a poor design for a takeout container. Upon finally earing my pho, I found the soup to be a 3-star bowl of pho.Nothing extraordinary, but certainly not bad by any means. Overall, I'd rate my takeout experience to be two stars, while Ipredict a dine-in experience for me to be a 3-star. The restaurant was clean, the staff apologetic but not overly welcoming. Allaround just a very middle of road experience falling short of the hype. As a previous reviewer stated, there are far better phoplaces in Southern Grand Rapids for far cheaper that are well worth the added drive time. Read more

Considering my visit was not long after their grand opening, I'd assume some kinks are still being worked out. I thought the pho... was delicious, as was the Vietnamese coffee. There was a wait but they were understaffed. They had also sold out of some menuitems. It is also a bit inconvenient that the location does not have any seating, especially since you have to carry around yourbowl of pho around until you find seating elsewhere (something to consider if you're there with the kids).
