I have two favorite Detroit-style pizza places. Joyride Pizza in San Francisco and Quarantino?s in Grand Rapids. I was just here... in June and it had only 20 reviews. However, the pizza is still fresh, innovative, and vegan and vegetarian-friendly. Don?t letthe size of the pizzas deceive you ? my mom asks each time if they forgot to give us a box ? they fit two to a box. I can easilysee this becoming our go-to Friday night spot. When I asked to order their Detroit style pizza and was told all of them are Detroit style, I rejoiced. And the taste was... outstanding and everything I hoped it to be. We even endured Grand Rapids Grand parking problem along with a long walk to getthere. Well worth it! Read more
BEST VEGAN PIZZA ON THE PLANET. if you want the amazing classic take out pizza you?ve been missing since going vegan, this is... the place for you. the vegan sausage and VEGAN HAM toppings are so good and I am so glad to have found this place. thebreadsticks with veg cheese and herb oil is also amazing. vegan ceaser salad and the homemade ranch all get a rave review fromme. Ordered the "OK Shroomer" pizza. It was one of the best pizza's I've ever had. I always enjoy when I am pleasantly surprised by... food tasting WAY better than it looks, and in this case, this pizza takes the cake. Absolutely no sleight to the taste, but theway in which the herb sauce mixture was applied made it looks as if the top of my pizza was a litter box for cats. Perhapsheating the herb sauce mixture a tad before application, or perhaps a smaller diameter in the top of the squeeze bottle? 5/5 fordinner AND a show. Read more
