I had Slows BBQ cater my wedding reception. From the very first contact I had with them, Slows was flexible, extremely kind,... prompt in responding, and willing to do a bulk drop-off 1 1/2 hours away. Everyone I spoke to had excellent customer service.The food arrived exactly at the right time, was easy to set up and my guests loved it. Start to finish, they were a joy to workwith. Received my to-go order. I realize there's a mark up using a third party delivery. My issue is the amount of actual potato salad... I received. For 12 pieces of potatoes it was $4.99 plus tax and tip. Again, not complaining about what I paid. If it was full,I'd be happy. The issue is with Slows thinking this is appropriate. Read more

We ordered takeout so our results might not be the most accurate. The Mac N Cheese with pulled pork lacked flavor. It was like... day old noodles with melted cheese on top (Pic 3). My beans were delicious though. The chili was okay once I drained the greeseoff of it (Pic 1). Very expensive chili. $6.50 for a little container (Pic 2). I won't order again. Read more
I had the Yardbird. It was delicious. I've never had a smoked BBQ sandwich that great tasting. I topped it with their apple BBQ... sauce. The sauce was amazing. I didn't taste any of the other sauces because I wanted the apple one on everything. Cornbread:had a nice texture and was dense but not enough sweetness. I only tasted the sweetness in the aftertaste. I'm a person thatloves 75% cocao chocolate for reference. Mac n cheese: texture was nice and creamy. It had a nice cheese crust on the too. Icouldn't really taste the cheese because the black pepper was over powering. My partner had the Haas Boss. He said it waspretty good. Initially, he was excited about the bacon aoli, but it ended up not being as prominent a flavour as he wanted. Hehad the sweet BBQ sauce with it and really enjoyed it. An early lunch on a cold Saturday and we landed at slows. Oh man. The aroma wooshed at you as opened the door. The rich wood... decor warmed you in addition to the strengthening scent of bubbling BBQ. The Applewood chicken sandwich arrived and filled theplate. A soft bun cradled the pulled meat that was lightly soaked in sause a blanketed with bacon. Across the table was alavish plate of burnt end. Yes I sampled the sauce. That was as close to cooking outside on the smoker as you can get in thewinter here in Michigan. Very tastey. Read more
First time to the GR location, but had been to the Detroit one a few times. Food was good, came out hot and pretty fast. Had... the pulled pork and sweet potatoes. I would recommend Slows to people looking for good, basic BBQ. Location was a littledifficult as it was in a market style place and I was looking for a storefront. Read more
