Went to pick up my online order and saw no cars in the drive thru (nor inside) so I was he only customer there. Figured I?d go... through the drive thru since I had my dog with me. The guy at the drive thru would not give me my food, he told me I had to walkinside and get it. (Yes I?m peeved off that they made me walk in when there were probably 5 employees twiddling thumbs when Iwalked in.) not to mention they messed up my food too. Read more
Pathetic!!! Steak 'n Shake no longer exists. Gone is the one-on-one waiter/waitress interaction and service. No more friendly... smiles by your "Usual Waitress" because we were at the restaurant weekly. We really looked forward to eating at S 'n S seeingthe waitress staff who were like family, talking with other regular customers, and enjoying a nice meal. NO MORE!!! So Long! Goback to being S 'n S. This is my first time visiting and will be my last. The building looked very old and not in a quaint way. I was surprised to see... there was still one open in the area as so many have closed. I went to the drive thru. There was one car only in front of me, noone behind me, and a restaurant full of staff. All this and I was waiting for 14 minutes for my shake. (It would have beenlonger, but I left.) The person before me ordered one meal. I realize perhaps they make everything to order but I should nothave to wait that long. Knowing I was waiting for the shake I could see sitting on the window counter, they could have asked theperson in front to move forward. We loved it. My family was very happy with their food and so was I. Although I ordered a bowl of chili and I received a cup of... chilli. Before,We ordered we needed to ask,On how to order my child sandwich and our questions were answered,The gentlemancooking stopped and helped us and asked someone to help us. Ordering at the drive thru wasn?t terrible, until we got to the window. The guy who greeted us at the window was very rude and... seemed unhappy with his life and job. We kindly asked for a receipt and and he rudely commented back that it was already in hishand. We told him to have a nice day and he shut the window fast. When we didn?t think it could get any worse, my friend?sburger ended up having a curly, black hair inside of it! She still ate it anyways because we didn?t want to deal with that guyagain. Decent food but my wife got Heath Shake not a Reese's shake & I did not get my $2 upcharge of bacon on my burger
This is a busy Steak 'N Shake location. The food is pretty good. The staff were friendly and attentive. The seasonal shakes are... really good. Steak 'N Shake now has a mobile app you can order in advance. Read more
