Delicious! You go in hungry and you leave stuffed! The crab cake appetizer was amazing, barely any filler and a good seasoning... blend. We also got calamari as an appetizer and people were "fighting" over the last few pieces it was that good. We chose aboil with Crawfish and Crab Legs with all of the seasonings mixed and a medium spice level and everybody was happy with this.Left satisfied, full and with many leftovers to go. Food and service was great! Really enjoyed the food. My favorites were the mussels and the corns! The only criticism is that we... found the flavors a little too salty which made it hard to enjoy the food to the fullest. Making it with less salt would make abig difference. We ordered the combo no. 5 (all three types of mussels) and the crawfish and blue crab dishes with GarlicButter Old Bay and All Mixed flavors, mild spice. Read more
When it comes to seafood boils I’m very picky. I was hesitant to try this place but I’m so glad I did. It is one of the best... seafood boils I’ve had. The restaurant is clean and cozy. The customer service is top notch. The prices are reasonable and themenu is great. So many different things to choose from as well as a variety of sauces and spice levels. The sauces areperfection. The portions are huge. The quality and size of the seafood they use is amazing. I highly recommend getting the combothat comes with the shrimp, snow crab, and lobster tail. Absolutely outstanding. Good afternoon so I stopped in at this restaurant to have lunch I had crawfish a pound of it and I've also had the calamari both... dishes we're cooked excellently. The staff treated me with the upmost respect and professionalism. The restaurant is clean andpresentable. The prices are most reasonable for the great food that you get in return. I ordered the crab boil with 1lb of snow crab, 1/2lb of shrimp, extra potatoes & extra corn in the garlic butter Old Bay flavor... with mild spice level. I went around 6pm on a Saturday & placed my to go order & it took less than 10 mins. The flavor wasperfect & not too salty. The crab was cooked to perfection & I didn't have to use any tools to get the meat. It came out inwhole pieces. The sweet corn & the potatoes soaked up the flavors inside the bag & was delicious. But the shrimp was slightlyovercooked. Too chewy for my liking, but that was the only negative & it was still delicious! Read more
Honestly not one bad thing to say, I’m pretty sure all the people who put negative reviews are the red lobster type, I thought... this tasted like a true seafood place, I got the Cajun clams, black mussels and crawfish boil, and I’m gonna be honest it’sprobably the better of most seafood in Grand Rapids. Definitely doesn’t get the credit it deserves, our food came super fastand our appetizers where almost instant. Not a lot of people so it wasn’t overwhelming especially on a Friday night. I tip myhat to the crew and hands that prepared our dishes for us, it was greatly appreciated and over the top delicious. I was hesitantgoing in because of the negative people who don’t know seafood, and I was astonished after seeing the platter and tastingeverything. So good!! Better than Mr. and Mrs. crab. We tried yummy crab first and it was so good. Then we deduced to try Mr. and Mrs crab... and was so disappointed the flavor was lacking but overpriced. We came back to yummy crab and they did not disappoint. Come hereif you want flavor in every bit and a good Cajun flavor. Also the cheesecake is delicious. Very different from most cheesecakes.Even though Mr. and Mrs Crab has more ratings, the food quality at Yummy Crab outweighs it and more food for the price. Read more
