Had the pulled pork plate. The amount of food was good. The crinkle cut french fries were very good. However the barbecue had no... smokey flavor. I didn't care for either of the two sauces that were available. The sweet sauce had a little bit of a differentflavor. The spicy sauce was better but watch how much you put on. The coleslaw was just okay and had an odd yellow color. Iwould not return. Read more
This place is an absolute gem! The staff was so sweet and welcoming! The menu was reasonably priced and simple, which initially... told me it should be great. I wasn't wrong. The food is fantastic! I had the beef (brisket) sandwich with pork rinds as a side.My husband had a pork plate and my son had a triple cheeseburger (the patties are smallish). Everything was incredible. Thisnorthern girl really appreciated the pork rinds, which are house made. They're way better than anything you might buy at astore. The beef practically melted in my mouth, while the sauces were all very flavorful and delicious. Exceptional! I would goout if my way to come back. Read more
After reading all the raving reviews about how great the food was and the service being awesome... my experience was very... lacking. Apparently we came in right at shift change. Our first waitress was welcoming, but after we got our food, we had zeroservice from her. Our second waitress was trying to get her day going, which I understand. I ordered a pork sandwich and thepork rinds. My husband ordered 2 pork sandwiches at first. (Hear me out on this, I do BBQ and smoked meats myself.) The pork wasbland. It had sauce on it, but little to no flavor. My pork rinds had more flavor because they had salt on them. My husbandordered a hotdog as well, after he finished his pork sandwiches. Very friendly staff and pretty good food but the star of the show? The hot BBQ sauce! Luckily they sell both, their mild and... hot BBQ sauce by the bottle! Yep, that one is going home with me! Read more
I stopped for dinner and was disappointed to hear that the beef brisket sells out by lunch time every day! But the pork platter... was outstanding! Great tender pork with a great taste, and the slaw was crunchy and tasty. Friendly staff and quick service. Read more
I think I just died and went to fresh pork rind heaven! Seriously the best I have ever had. The barbecue is excellent and a... fantastic value. A walk out back gives you a chance to see the meat being smoked mid-day in the smokehouse. The milkshakes areexcellent and served in the stainless steel mixing cup. Authentic experience all around... Our party of 3 visited on 10/18/22. We all ordered the Pork Plate. It was served in a timely manner and we dug in. The pork had... a rather strange bbq sauce on it which I wasn't a fan of, and it came to us less than hot. It was basically served at roomtemperature. The cold slaw was made with a yellowish dressing that also had a weird flavor. The fries were just a crinkle-cutlike you buy out of the freezer at the local grocery store. Fortunately they were hot.
