It wasn't bad. Service was pretty good and our waitress was nice. The food was sub par. The appetizers were great to share and... were delicious. Perfect balance of spicy and sweet. We had the spinach dip, jalapeno poppers, and the deep fried pickles. Myschnitzel was a little dry and needed a sauce to dip in or to be cooked less. My cutting board it was served on was alsoseverely warped and missing its grips. That made for an unpleasant appearance of the food. The mashed potatoes were dry whichusually comes when they're older. The vegetables were overcooked. I would recommend sharing one kf the sandwiches as anotherdiner had it and it looked excellent although it looked like you much for one person. Read more

Went for a nice drive yesterday from Barrie and stopped in at the Grand River Chop House. This place looks like it could be... really fun in the summer time with a large patio. We had the sweet potato fries, Quesadilla and Schnitzel. Everything wereally tasty. The Schnitzel could definitely feed two. Will go back for sure. Took a few bites before taking the picture.
