I had the great fortune to stay at the Pomeroy from Nov. 22-23, and would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are so warm and... friendly, and the rooms and amenities are top-notch. I am disabled and do not travel often, and never while I am alone. I wastherefore quite nervous about this business trip, but my apprehension immediately vanished as soon as I checked in. I could nothave been treated more kindly, and the staff went above and beyond in the incredible level of assistance they provided to me. Itwas such a welcoming and comfortable environment that I actually felt like I was visiting extended family in Grande Prairie.Whille all of the staff were incredible, an extra big thank you goes out to Ruth, Nicole, and Neha, for their huge hearts. Ialso cannot praise enough the food, service, and talented staff at their restaurant, the Office. Everything I sampled there wasdelicious and had clearly been prepared with great care and passion. Rooms are clean and basically outfitted. Has sauna, pool and hot tub. Hot tub unfortunately not hot. Great breakfast buffet... included with room. Read more

Room was was nice enough with the exception of having to sit at an angle on the toilet because it was so close to the wall. One... of my co-workers stayed here the night before and said the place was full of people partying but it was nice and quiet for mystay. Read more

My son chose your hotel rooms to stay in as we were home for my mother’s memorial. It was a great location not far from... family, walking distance to the Prairie Mall and Shoppers, great breakfasts included, nice restaurant with diverse menu. The hottub, pool and steam room were a bonus. Service was pretty good. Only complaints would be the small bathroom, basic cable and ldidn’t see a microwave although it had a fridge. They are doing some road work around the hotel as well which may improvepedestrian safety. Beds were very comfortable and room had good air conditioning. Had our wedding here it was amazing! Our whole wedding group went into skylark for appies and drinks after the rehearsal and the... worker there was freaking amazing! She was never rude and was on the ball! My only complaint was on getting my room cleanedbefore the photographer came to do photos. Asked in the morning for it to be cleaned before 11 and nothing. Everything was fine, they waived a 45$ "late checkout" because we didn't arrive until after 1am the night before. And even... being a woman, I've never before seen a hotel that has "female ONLY FLOORS", I FOUND this to be somewhat weird or something that was rather different than ALL the other hotels. Used to be the Grande Prairie Motor Inn way back. Clean room, decent bed, friendly front end person. The basics are good. ... Basic TV with a basic channel package. That being said, let’s look at several things that make the stay less than ideal. 1. Cramped 7 ft ceiling in the bathroom 2. Bathroom air vent was not functioning, leaving the ceiling dripping when my shower wasdone. 3. Yea, Microwave, but who has their microwave at below your knees. 4. Super cheap 1 ply toilet paper needs 8 feet ofpaper before you have enough layers for a successful wipe. 5. Carpet straight over cement, with minimal underlay. 6. Singledrawer nightstands with no room for clothing if someone wants to use a drawer for clothes. A second drawer would be veryhandy. 7. Main entrance light had dirt and bugs. That’s just simple hygiene, no excuses! 8. Glass shelf in bathroom is bentdown and unusable. Read more

Rooms were clean and entire building well maintained. The pool, hot tub and steam room were very enjoyable as well as the... breakfast buffet. The servers at breakfast were especially amazing, above and beyond service! I was with my one year olddaughter by myself and one of the staff came over and helped me with her so I could get our food. When we left at the end of ourstay my daughter went up and gave her a hug, which she doesn't even do with her grandma and aunty! Read more
