Amazing quality of everything RPG. From boardgames to books, and figurines to cards, they've got an absolute awesome stockpile... of goodies. And then, there are the backrooms to play in. One is even decked out in medieval splendor and soundproof for acompletely rowdy good time. Their location is even great. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. All around good place. Read more

One of the best gaming stores in town for MTG or tabletop enthusiasts. I'm not there for miniatures but the variety and span of... miniatures they have for different sets is impressive. It could be a single stop there for paints and miniatures if that's yourbag. Personally I like all the dice options they have. They also have disc golf ? towards the back if you're looking forsomething different. Pizza store next door if you plan on camping it out with friends. Read more

This store is pretty average for a gaming shop. I been here twice now. It is very well stocked with most vintage to newer... TTRPGs. Some older titles I haven?t seen in years. The drawback to having all of this inventory is the extra space is verylimited. Really not the fault of anyone; the store is lacking in a decent amount of floor space. Dice, sets & singles are themost expensive I?ve seen in Grand Rapids. Singles are a dollar each. Most all of the other shops have them priced at 3 for$1. Near the back of the store I spotted a display case with vintage games, books & some accessories. I was interested in someAD&D hardcover rule books. They were not marked with any prices. I tried to get prices from the store clerk but he said someoneelse does that, not him. I hoped he could possibly contact this person, but that wasn?t something he wanted to do. My secondvisit was over a month later, still these books were not priced. Further back are tables for MTG games. Also D&D 5th editiongames are periodically available. Several MTG games were going on while I was there. I didn?t care for the fact both times I wasovercharged. I didn?t mention it because I did not notice this until I was miles away. Also the overcharge wasn?t much. Firsttime it was a dollar, second time by 50¢. Staff was very friendly & talkative. If you?re in the area I?d recommend stopping into check it out. If you are far from this location I would not bother with the drive. Read more

Best selection in the city for board games by a mile. Prices are always great here, too. Their selection of D&D accouterments... like books, dice, paints, miniatures is also second-to-none. They're the best in the city and it's not even close. I knowDetroit people who come here to shop because of the Wharf's selection and prices, so it's potentially one of the best in thestate. The guy that runs this place is someone who clearly loves this kind of stuff and it could not be more obvious. I chatwith him every time I get the chance. This place rules. An absolute gem. It pains me to say this, but my first time shopping at the wharf could have been better. I was not well received by gentleman... behind the counter, any time I had questions he seemed somewhat annoyed. This negative experience combined with the EDH houserules and ban list are what prevent me from giving a higher review. On a positive note the Wharf has great selection, I don'tthink I've seen another store in my area that has as wide of a selection of gaming supplies and miniatures. If your willing tostomach a bit of cold reception and looking for rare gaming supplies, consider paying a visit. Read more
