Meh. Bread and oil taste like generic oil. Salad was very subpar - house salad little pile tomato, nice Parmesan slivers,... lettuce, dressing, and that was the salad. No croutons. The Asiago stuffed gnocchi taste so cheap. Like out of a can. I don’tthink I’d go back. Read more
This is the first time we've dined in anywhere for 2 years. The place was busy but the owner was kind to us and sensitive to our... needs. The staff was friendly, and the pace of service was good to just relax and enjoy ourselves. The food was good, not thebest, but good and worth coming back for. Villa Macri is still a wonderful restaurant. We hadn't had dinner here for a few years. Glad to see that both the food and... service are still excellent. Our waitress was so nice and attentive without being overbearing. We ordered calamari, seafoodalfredo, and osso buco . Definitely coming back soon for another date night. Read more
I like this restaurant because is spacious, nice and the servers are kind. I have come many times. The food preparation needs... improvement and be consistent. The fried calamari was good but the entré was so-so. I ordered shrimps with crab cake on top ofrice. The crab cakes (2) were burnt. The shrimp (5) was acceptable. In order to fill the plate a large amount of green beansaccompanied the crab cakes. Well, maybe the next time I will be lucky. Read more

This is one of Indiana’s greatest restaurants hands down! As an airline pilot, I travel all over the world exploring new... restaurants and cuisines. I’ve become a professional “foodie” during my time. Villa Macri is a family owned restaurantand as soon as you walk in you get this feeling of being part of the family. The atmosphere sports a very authentic Italianvibe with great lighting and decorations. Hands down however, their food is their best attribute! I started with thebreadsticks and marinara dipping sauce. Made fresh per order, these are some of the best breadsticks you will find. Puts“others” to shame. I continued my course with the Bruchetta. A mixture of tomatoes and onions and a delicious balsamicglaze all delivered in a fine display of deliciousness. I continued with a few other appetizers and then went for gold. Thebest item on their menu, the Pork Osso Bucco. An explosion of flavor and incredibly tender meat that falls off the bone. Irecommend getting it over the pasta as it truly allows you to enjoy all flavors that this dish has to offer. The food portionsare very generous, the staff (many of which are from the Macri family) are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and theatmosphere make this restaurant the best place to experience a true Italian cuisine that you will remember for ages! Please note: If you want a fine Italian dining on a Friday before ND home-game, make a reservation (days) ahead of time. We... lucked out on 3 places in South Bend. So off we go to Granger. Villa Macri’s waitlist was 40-45 minutes. Host was really niceand apologetic for the wait. Our server was also friendly, and have stopped on our table on so many occasion to check up if weneed anything. While me and hubby were craving for veal, I ordered veal ravioli, it was good. Hubby on the other hand don’tcare much for ravioli so he opted for their villa pasta, same as my daughter - they were also good. We finished the night withmango gelato. While we planned to have dined to our fave Italian restaurant, we’re glad we dined at Villa Macri that night -we enjoyed the nice staff(s) and good food. This is a great Italian restaurant. You can fit in being dressed casual or it can be a place for a very upscale setting. They... have a nice selection of drinks available, and a wonderful selection of food. Service on this particular evening was also verygood. Read more
