pretty poor bbq in the middle of great bbq country. nothing is great, most of the flavors are below average. absolutely no bark... on the pulled pork. the sauce seemed to be commercial. the beans felt canned. saw the owner response.... it's really simple. Iwas looking for "good" bbq, something that has bark. (look at the pics, no bark, no smoke flavor at all). I was hoping forhomemade flavors. The definition of an average experience. Personally, I was getting chicken because I'd eaten a lot of pork recently. Their... tenders are the most average I've ever tasted. The best part of the meal was the hush puppies. The party I was with enjoyedtheir salad, though. Concerned that the girl taking orders was under the influence at the time, as she stared off into space,and didn't ask for what sides we wanted with our plates. Dropped in to check out this Hole In The Wall BBQ restaurant. Seat yourself says the sign, so I did. I was promptly waited on... and the food to table time was not long. The salad was very good. I ordered the Combo plate. The ribs were good but not a lot ofmeat on them. I couldn't taste any smoked flavor in the pork. The Baked beans and okra were good. The chicken was very good andvery tender. The sauce they brought from the kitchen was delicious. I ordered peach cobbler as well with ice cream. The peachesin the cobbler were excellent. Food was very good. Nothing was heavy smoked. Every thing was tender. Pork and chicken were pretty neutral so you can flavor... with your favorite sauce. I tried all 3 sauces. They were all excellent. The 2 vinegar sauces were good with pork. The moreketchup based was probably the best it went well on the ribs and chicken. The beans were good. Waitress was great. The food was decent. I eaten at other Hannah's locations and have been very pleased. Ordered the Brisket... that was covered in some sugary ketchup textured bbq sauce. It was more like beef bacon strips and not a brisket. Not sure whythey cover it when there are better sauces on the tables. Read more
Though already frustrated with these guys from past experiences, I Tried to place an order to go yesterday, lady answered,... TELLS me to hold and immediately hits the hold button, I didn?t mind. I sat holding for 11 minutes. I finally hang up to callback and no one would answer like the phone was placed of the hook. If your that busy how is it efficient to place someone onhold, make them wait like that, and then come back to them instead just taking a 30 second order.
