Came in for lunch on a Friday. Genuinely cool place inside, nice people, and good food. So glad this is here in Gray.

Best beer and pizza experience around! The wings were really good, the IPA and Stout beers were on point. Best of all the pizza... was out of this world!!!! Read more

NO DOGS! This is the ONLY brewery in the greater portland area that does not allow furry friends. Not even on the public walkway... in front. Staff made us feel rushed and kind of in the way (before being asked to leave). Beer was decent, but nothing special.Soft pretzels were tasty. Read more

Excellent atmosphere and good beer. Very nice amenity for this area. Staff was very friendly, the place wasn't overly crowded,... and the other patrons were a nicer crowd than I'd expect for the area. The food unfortunately was a huge disappointment. Thewraps are lackluster at best and the special "drunken tots" (some sort of tater tot and cheese amalgamation) that wererecommended to us by staff were bordering on inedible. It's fairly clear why this is too, I'm fairly certain that the kitchenisn't effectively much more than a toaster oven. Despite my grievances with the food it's certainly a place I'll go back to fora drink and that I'd recommend visiting if you're not particularly hungry. I'll also admit that perhaps we just got unlucky withwhat we chose to order, and if I go back and try some of the paninis and things that other people have said good things about inother reviews I will update my review and rating to reflect that. I enjoyed the wheat beer and a pretzel. The pretzel almost looked over cooked but it was perfect, hard on the outside and soft... delicious inside! Yum. They also had seltzer options. The outdoor space spacious and shaded areas. Beautiful grounds and I saw agroundhog! Read more

Robust, sales, pilsner, larger, IPA and new to me, hard water, similar to hard selzer, no fizzy. Peanut butter and mango was... yummy. Basic bar menu and wine also available. Good service and friendly staff. Limited outside seating. Read more

The atmosphere, the owners, the music, and the location were all five stars! The beer was four stars, but I'm rounding up... because of how great this place is! Thanks for coming to Gray! Read more

Tucked in the back corner of the GNG shopping center is this quaint little Brewery name Birchwood Brewing. What an awesome find... I think I found my new favorite place. The owners are very friendly locals. He is a veteran who I believe is also thebrewmaster. I had a flight of beers in the flight I believe there were six beers and two waters for cleansing. Hands down thebest beer there was the red beer. It didn't seem like any red beer I've ever had before because it lacked the bitter taste thatcomes with it. They only serve fresh baked pretzels but the owner encouraged us to order takeout and eat it there. Thatactually worked out really well we order the pizza from Jess and Nick's and ate it while we watch the band. I never went to theprevious establishment but I'm told this is nothing like it used to be. The interior has nice tables and many of them hadcribbage boards in cards to play. The walls have some milled metal art of wildlife. As if that wasn't enough I believe thisplace to be pet friendly we saw a couple pets on leashes while enjoyed our dinner. This is a good little spot I didn't get toocrowded we never had to wait for drinks and the drinks were amazing. Read more
