Not only does this little pizza shop make some of the best pizza and tailgate party food for miles, but it is currently the ONLY... restaurant in the entire Green Bay metropolitan area partnered with Greener Bay Compost to compost ALL of its food waste(including plate scrapings). Oh, and they frequently donate to worthwhile causes, like local women's and homeless shelters andveterans groups as well! What a great role model for other businesses this pizza place is! As someone who is very intosustainability and the "zero waste" movement, it is great to see a local restaurant setting the bar so high when it comes toprotecting the environment. Hopefully other restaurants in the Green Bay metropolitan area will follow in Glass Nickel'sfootsteps and start composting their food waste as well. Read more

I have eaten at Glass Nickel a few times before and they know how to accommodate my tastes. I don't he ave any food allergies or... anything, I'm a bit of a heat freak! Today I had ordered their Cardiac Arrest pizza (their take on a meat lovers pizza). Inthis case I substituted my sauce with their Spicy Sriracha Ranch. I'm sorry if I seem picky to those who work here, but I'mobsessed with spicy things and this sauce works great! This version of their Cardiac Arrest is great to have because it bringsout all of the meats and cheese that is on the pie. Perhaps I like it because I'm stoned but it does stimulate your senses andgoes great with a meat and cheese fix. The beer I'm drinking is Packerland Pilsner from Hinterland Brewery which is what Inormally default to when I come here. They mostly serve premium/craft beers but do have the common domestics. I prefer to spendmore on beer because it's better than Bud/Busch. Easily, this is by far my favorite local pizza place. Local is better so Iwould accept this as a good treat after a long day at work. 1st time visiting GB and I ended up going to GNP twice. The 1st night I enjoyed cheese curds and a calzone. The calzone was... great. Crust was full of flavor. The next night, I wanted test out the pizza and it didn?t disappoint either. Come in for greatfood, good drinks, and an awesome atmosphere! Read more
We stopped at one of our favorite pizza stops in Green Bay. After a great appetizer our pizza was brought to the table. It was... awesome as always. Then after my wife and I had a couple of delicious slices, we bumped the pizza stand and the balance of thepizza ended up on the floor. After our eyes locked as we just realized we just lost 2/3rds of our pizza. But wait, before Icould sadly yell, "clean up in aisle 1" the bartender said the kitchen was already preparing a replacement for our pizza mishap.It was our clumsy act but they still made us another pizza.
