The service was great, had a younger teen waiter who was polite and knowledgeable about the food. The restaurant was cozy and... felt like a home away from home. I ordered the shrimp alfredo that came with a good side salad and roll. The dish itselfthough wasn't seasoned well, tasted plain like water. I had to add quite a few shakes of salt. Read more

Owner Gus is very nice...but, Firm/Stern when he has.to be! Don't try to pull one over on him! Runs a "tight-ship" work crew... there. Good full course meal that is cheaper than Perkins and Golden Corral, and several other restaurants in GreenBay. Beautiful brick exterior building with tiles and trim likewise on the inside of the building! I usually ask for a big craftof water early so I don't have to make the server run back&fourth like 5 times getting me a "stupid glass of water" They arebusy enough without all that Extra Work! I kindof wish they were a 24hr restaurant but, oh well! Gus loves seeing hisRegulars come back again for another meal. My server Kevin was EXCELLENT! He provided my family with a great experience. He was so helpful with my mother to make... suggestions, I was thankful. The food is exceptional. My Western omelet was tasty and the hasbrowns are to die for. Thepancakes are fluffy and filling. My husband had the Ruben and he was very happy. Golden Basket is a great place for good comfortfood. After several visits to this establishment I can honestly say the service is consistently good as is the food. Prices are very... reasonable. You get your money's worth! The owner and staff are very friendly and will do what it takes to make sure customersleave happy. Free parking around the building. Easy access in and out. A great old style Family Restaurant. We come here when we are in town for the people as much as the great food. We are truck drivers and only get back to Green Bay... every 3-4 months. The last time we were at the Golden Basket was in February. We came in this morning and Suella came right tothe table with coffee and made sure she had the French Vanilla creamer my husband always used. It is just so amazing to go to arestaurant that makes you feel like you are ?going home?. The entire staff here is exactly like that. The waitress always chatand catch us up on what is going on in the area. We feel comfortable and relaxed here. The Golden Basket is so far above manyrestaurants because they have both Amazing Food and Staff that knows how to have that 5 minute relationship with customers thatensures you want to come back again. Quality/taste of food was excellent. Couldn?t believe how inexpensive it was! Owner and server were very friendly and... accommodating. They made room for 10 of us right before the restaurant was closing (we didn?t know ahead of time that they wereclosing in 30 minutes). Will definitely come back on our next trip to Green Bay!
