Went in by myself and was greeted warmly. I wanted to sit at the bar and have a quick bite. That is exactly what I got !! ... All the staff was great and not over chatty. My overall experience was great and definitely will be back. Read more
This was our first time ordering from here and we were so impressed! Our food was perfect! We will order again.
First time here (new to the neighborhood) and this will be our new go-to restaurant! Upon entering we were greeted immediately... and shown to a table. But the first thing we noticed was how clean this place is! You?d be hard-pressed to find a cleanerrestaurant. Our drink order was taken quickly and came to the table lightning fast. All the staff are really friendly, and evencalled me ?amigo?. That might seem silly to some, but I think it added to the ambiance. Speaking of, this place is so brightlycolored you can?t help but feel happy just being in here. The fake roof above the booths is a nice touch as well. And the musicis loud enough to hear, but not be a distraction. Chips were crispy and the salsa was fresh and delicious (not too spicy) andthe bean dip is so god you could just eat it by itself. We order tamales for an appetizer and they did not disappoint. Thechicken was a little dry, but the flavor was amazing! The margaritas were just right? could taste the booze but notoverpowering. The enchiladas were perfect with juicy chicken. Never thought I?d say this, but it blows El Sarape out of thewater. Great job guys! Hope to see you all again soon! Read more
Hey look I have sampled probably ever single Mexican restaurant in the green bay area and I'm not even close to joking when I'm... telling you the Los Magueyes on Velp Ave is so good you will not want to go to any other Mexican restaurant. I'm saying thisfrom experience since my wife will NOT EAT AT ANY OTHER MEXICAN RESTAURANT. The staff is amazing just really nice people that goabove and beyond what they are suppose to as far as service to make sure your experience is the best you can possibly have.Their drinks are mixed absolutely perfectly and food... don't get me even started! I was so full I wanted to curl up and take anap on the bench! I was legit scraping my plate because the taste was so good. The staff didn't know much English but we had aconversation with him over Google translate and he was such a nice guy!!!!. They didn't get the order right. I traveled there to pick up the order. Got home. Suzanne's order was wrong. She called them to... have her order redone. She told them not to start the order for 20 minutes. So that I could eat my food hot. I went to go getthe remade order. When I got there the order was done. Which was fine but they did right when she called so it was cold when Igot it home. The chicken was over cooked. It was dried out and so chewy. We won't be going back ever. We just wanted to supportour local business. We paid 3 times for it. Read more
Great decor, service and menu selection! Came recommended by a local, as they regularly come here for dinner. It did NOT... disappoint - the strawberry margarita was delicious. My husband got the Carne Asada and I got the California Burrito - basicallymy husbands plate wrapped in a tortilla topped with queso blanco. Fantástico!
