Food was good. The prices were a little high for the type of food you get (burgers, steaks, bar cuisine), but it was good. The... only reason for the two stars was the horrible service. Our waitress came and checked on us twice during our time there. Whenshe finally remembered to bring the bill, she said "...and I can take that whenever you're ready." As I tried to hand her mycard and pay immediately she had already walked away. I couldn't even get the words out that we were already set to go. Not tomention, we had been waiting a while. When I finally was able to pay, she acted as if I was somehow inconveniencing her. Thiswas all with a pretty full staff, and a dining room with seats to fill. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, butsometimes the service just isn't there. Might try again someday, but not anytime soon. Read more

I was at The Cannery yesterday for a lunch meeting, and I was very impressed with our waiter, Justin. He was very friendly and... attentive to our needs. He offered interesting descriptions of the food during the ordering process, had informative answers toquestions, and offered great suggestions when necessary. Justin had good rapport with everyone at the table, and he checked onour table just enough times. We all talked about how he was the perfect waiter. Great job, Justin! The atmosphere and service were great. The food, however was not. We were there with a party of 5 and only one of us liked our... food. My mom ordered the french onion soup and beef broth was so strong, she added water to it twice and it was still supersalty and strong. Not sure I would eat here again, but I would definitely go back for drinks at the bar as the restaurant itselfis pretty neat. Read more
The Cannery has a unique history...check it out. It is an inviting eatery/market place on Broadway in GB. It has a wonderful... atmosphere with a staff of friendly people. Great menu choices with a choice of draft beers and other available refreshments.The Cannery has become one of my favorite hangouts. Read more
