Had anaother fantastic meal at this riverside dining restaurant. Alex our waiter was very attentive and gave us great... recommendations- we tried the pork ribs as an appetizer with an amazing honey coke slaw. Very tasty. For the main meal we hadthe seas bass and salmon. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing.the asparagus was grilled perfectly as well. Fordessert they had an orange cheesecake and a delicious filled apple wtth graham cracker I believe. So tasty. They had a wonderfulselection of drinks so I had to try a pineapple island spritzer and the black Pearl. Both were excellent drinks. Staff wasalways there to help as well as the management. Spectacular experience! Finally, an exceptional waterfront dining experience in the capital region. The service was great, only... to be outdone by the meals. Highly recommend the Watermelon and Feta Salad, Octopus, Pan Seared Diver Scallops, Cioppino, andthe Pistachio Cake to wrap up! Nowhere better to dine on a perfect evening. Read more

I truly enjoy coming here. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The food is delectable. The ambiance makes me want to... live there and eat forever. I enjoy it enough to come back once a month. Plan to dress for date night or after workdrinks. While they are accommodating with the main dining area if you want to see a view while on Starbuck island you need tomake a reservation to sit out on the patio. The ambiance is chill and relaxing. Everything about the sea smoke restaurant was 5 stars. For food we had the grilled octopus and tuna tartar, then the scallops... and Chilean sea bass, then the candy bar for dessert. The scallops with polenta were probably the best I've ever had. The candybar very much exceeded our expectations. A great thing too the portions were perfect to finish everything on your plate. Wespent around 250$ but it was worth it and cannot wait to go back! The service and atmosphere were excellent. I highly recommendsitting outside if the weather calls for it. There is a beautiful view of the Waterfront at night. There is an overhang so if itrains it is still an option. The only negative I can think of is there was a long-ish gap between the appetizers and the dinnerbut that is really being picky. Our server attended to us wonderfully in the meantime. Read more

I left feeling disappointed after our visit to Seasmoke. I took my husband for his birthday dinner. The location is fantastic... with views of the river and downtown Troy. We began our meal with drinks and 4 appetizers. After the food was dropped off to ourtable, no one ever checked in to see how everything was or if we needed anything (salt). All of the appetizers were okay, Iwouldn't go out of my way to order them again. After our appetizers were whisked away, we sat with empty water glasses andcocktail glasses until our entrees came about 25 minutes later. It seemed like a long wait, which we can understand during thesetimes, but a long wait can be alleviated with a cocktail or at least water. Neither were provided, even after we asked forwater. At one point my husband mentioned that he felt invisible. Not a good feeling when you're paying this much for a meal. MyCod entree was okay.. lackluster in flavor but the fish was cooked very well. My husband really enjoyed the strip steak whichwas also cooked perfectly. Overall we will be back for the view, beer and some oysters. Not to shell out 200 bucks formediocrity. Read more

The seafood eaters of our group enjoyed their calamari, cod, bronzino etc while I had many choices on the separate vegan menu.... Luckily we knew to ask for it! Owned by the same management as 677 Prime in Albany and Toro Cantina in Colonie, this Mediterranean focused seafood restaurant... is located in the Starbuck Island. Sea Smoke Waterfront Grill is part of an island consisting of commercial building withmultiples businesses set among more than 250 new apartments on the southern half of Center Island, in the Hudson River betweenGreen Island and Troy. Bisected by the Green Island Bridge, the project was financed by my employer, M&T Bank. The menuconsists of raw bar, Mediterranean-inspired seafood, pasta, sandwiches and a wide variety of wine. We ordered tenders for myson, a chicken sandwich, lobster linguini and crab cakes. The sandwich looked bulky with a crunchy crust but just melted inyour mouth. It is one of the most tender chicken meats that I have ever eaten. The crab cakes were good but I have had onebetter. The linguini was good as well. The restaurant has Great ambience, a nice view of the river and good service. Read more
