I've been to John Allison Public House numerous times over the years. Tonight me and my son stopped in for half priced wings.... This was the worst experience I've ever had there. Not good anymore, since new ownership took over I have been in twice and both times our food was cold. Sent it back and you... could tell it was mircowaved, came out like rubber. For the price you pay the food should be much better. No longer will we beback, better options to spend our money. Read more
Went on the smoked meats night and tried the beef brisket sandwich. Brisket was good with a strong smoked flavor. Smoked meats... aren't my favorite but this was good brisket. The fresh cut fries were crisp and delicious and not greasy like some tend to be.My wife had the pulled pork and it was also very good, flavorful, and tender. Son had the ribs and they were possibly the bestof all. Very meaty, tender, and delicious. Service was slow and took too long to get the food at over a half hour, with lessthan half the tables full, so that was disappointing, but can't complain about the quality of the food. Read more
On a Tuesday evening at 5.30pm, we waited no less than one hour to get served our food. Wasn't worth the wait. I will never go... there again. Maybe the waitress had an off night, idk but no one should have to wait an hour on their food to come out Read more
Sat in the lounge area off the bar. Casual atmosphere. Waitress was super friendly. Food was served quickly and was very good.... Had a Reuben sandwich. Lots of lean corn beef. Very nice. Read more
Went back for more. Loved the French Onion soup. The crab pretzel and crab cake were good and we liked the shrimp tacos.
Good dining experience - good food and great service. Recommended!
