The books aren't real, & there are tvs in the dining room... outside of that it's an awesome place to eat. The sounds of piano... gently drift in from the hotel lobby, the drinks are perfect in that no fuss old-school way. I was looking forward to dining here, it?s unfortunate that it wasn?t all I had hoped it would be. Our server (couldn?t even... catch her name because she barely spoke) was drab, unwelcoming and it felt as though we were a bother. Three in our party hadthe steak, none liked it because it looked like mush, and my son said he had a better steak at FATZ. I had the ravioli and itwas good, hubby had the surf and turf and he liked his meal. I could have overlooked the poor tasting food (somewhat) if theserver had an ounce of a personality but unfortunately this soured the whole meal. We visited Greeneville just before Christmas and stayed at the General Morgan Inn. To our delight, Brumley's was open for... dinner. Although we didn't have a reservation (highly recommend having one), they were able to seat us in the first diningarea. This was a special evening for us as we had not dined in a restaurant since the onset of COVID. In our booth, we werecomfortably distanced from other diners, though, so we felt fine being there. We both ordered the filet mignon, and It. Was.Divine. Served with carrots and broccolini on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes, the steak was cooked exactly as ordered andserved with a marvelous sauce. The meat was incredibly tender, no knife needed! Our waiter was fantastic, young butknowledgeable, helpful, and polite. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. In every way, it was an outstanding diningexperience that more than made up for two years of no dining out. Highly recommend Brumley's! Read more
Service was great and the food presentation was very nice. The prime rib dinner was really good and the side salad was amazing.... We had cheese curds for an appetizer and they were really good. The lemon chicken was good but not much flavor. Overall agreat experience! Read more
I am so glad that I found this place! From the outside it doesn't look like much, but once you go inside... The place is... gorgeous! Then the food, oh my! The whole dining experience is a show! And the food tastes as good as it looks! Great all theway around. I WILL dine here again and maybe next time I will have room for desert. Read more
