Edit: Zoom in on the part I circled in the second photo, literally looks like maggots in my opinion. Im not lying literally the... worst place I have ever had . Had it twice . The first time was last year but I couldn’t remember how it tasted so I decidedto try it again Not worth it . Literally a meal you can get from a place that sells Chinese food in the hood (I know it isn’tChinese food) the rice had many hard pieces in it . Then there was something in the rice that had a texture of a piece of Doritoit got stuck in my teeth like a chip . The steak was overcooked . The shrimp wasn’t bad , the lobster was ok , the vegetableswere terrible . Definitely wasn’t worth the price . Never again now I see why I didn’t remember how it tasted last year Read more

I was disgusted to find a large bug in my takeout order. I got the steak and chicken hibachi dinner. This is so unsettling and... the cleanliness and quality of the establishment is very concerning. I would never go back. Do not recommend. Read more
First time there, good food & fun times. We (group of 5) all ordered the hibachi; steak, shrimp, chicken & scallops. It comes... with the fried rice, mushroom soup & small salad. Not pictured were the Philidelphia sushi I ordered, which is smoked salmon,avocado & cream cheese. I don't do spicy that well anymore so it was a perfect side. My husband who doesn't normally eat sushi,was able to enjoy it as well. We also got crab ragoon which was really good. The cook or hibachist (not sure what the properterm is) was fun & a joy to watch. Will definitely go back again to try other sushi rolls & some of the other dishes mentionedin the menu. The place does need some up-keep & remodeling as there was a few out of order signs on bathroom stalls & sink, butthat appears to be many places after re-opening from being closed due to covid. It did seem we were rushed out after eating, butas we were leaving there was some large groups waiting, can't really blame them for that. Used to love going to Japanica. However, the last few years have been disappointing. I've gone different days of the week at... different times hoping to get a better experience but it's always the same. Six years ago I noticed the food quality becomingless, but the service has also taken a downward turn.
