Very good Vietnamese food ? has all the standards and some really tasty extras. The crispy shrimp rice balls are to die for - I... could just eat those all night! And their delicate dumplings in a creamy peanut sauce shouldn?t be missed. Highly recommendedare the grilled chicken, beef , scallops, fish and shrimp. The fried imperial rolls are light and crispy. Love this place: the food is always the freshest possible, with perfect consistency from visit to visit. Some items aren't on... the menu if out of season or the available supplies are below par, which makes for surprises that are never disappointing, sincethey will only prepare meals with top quality ingredients. I'm sure I would give them exactly the same rating after any mealI've had there, because it never sinks below the level of excellent. The only negative is that it's been refurbished to improvethe atmosphere, but you can tell it's been in the same location for a long time, so it's not the plushest decor. Their simpleenvironment does allow them to keep their prices very reasonable considering the exceptional quality of the fare however, andthat's indicated by the fact that almost everyone crossing their sill during a meal is known to the staff due to many a returnpatronage. I can understand that some people would rate it less than four stars, mainly for the unimpressive decor, but I wouldgive it 6 stars for the food alone, so even downgrading the look of the place to 4 stars still averages out to a "5 Star" in mybook! We went here tonight ( 06/03/18 ) my wife and I... it was a good experience the waiter ( Joel ) was awesome his service was... great. The appetizers were nothing special but still good. Just no wow factor! The main dishes ... shrimp pad Thai and grilledlemongrass beef were amazing and the detail that the chefs execute on there plates is superb... fried imperial chicken rolls arevery bland and oily but not a deal breaker just won?t order them next time. The best Vietnamese restaurant on the south shore if not in the hole greater Montreal area! We go bi-weekly if not more! I... recommend it to everyone I know. Prices and quality match perfectly, Only disappointment it's a small place , so they do notexcept groups over 10 to 12 people and reservation is a most even for 2-4 because it's often full. Read more
Looks nice and cozy but the staff is so not friendly. They have a bad attitude, especially the white server with eyeglasses (he... is rude). Service is very long. Make sure you have no plans after your trip there. Read more
We came here because we are the locals here. We expected a nice friendly Vietnamese staff but we instead got a 2 seconds stare... from a white gorilla who didnt even have the courtesy to approach us for sitting but carried on doing whatever he was doing.
