We were a group of six that went for restaurant week and did the price fix. They offer $32/42 options. The food was excellent!... The wait staff was pleasant and very good. Off to Ruvo on St Patrick's Day for lunch! The interior and exterior have changed and are more modern than before. I was very... happy to see all the artwork has been enhanced and moved around in the soft green colored rooms. No Irish music for mood, onlycontemporary. We began with two delicious bloody Marys, followed by potato leek soup which was delicious. We ordered our SaintPatrick's Day classic corned beef with small potatoes, cabbage and small carrot. Lunch portion. We had the chocolate mousse cakefor dessert. The bill including the tip was $94. Everything was nice, but a little pricey. I could have used another drink afterthe bill. Great cozy spot on Broadway in Greenlawn. Very nice decor, even with the plexiglass dividers. Food was excellent. The... mozzarella de fresca had a nice balsamic drizzle. Rocket arugala salad had that beet and goat cheese combo that goes so welltogether. Just the slightest bit of dressing so as not to over power the flavors. The crispy duck was amazing. The apricotglaze was perfect. My wife had the chicken Gismonda, there was enough for 2 meals, which is just what happened. The short ribsdidn't stand a chance with my friend. The hot antipasta for two had some great tastes and textures. There was enough of the vealscallopini for 2 meals as well the sauce over pasta was terrific. I would highly recommend Ruvo. Went for dinner with my family at Ruvo sunday evening Sept 6th. Had a reservation for 7:15pm, we arrived at 7:25pm, had to wait... for a table, not a big deal, but another group with the same amount of people arrived at 7:30pm while we were waiting, theirreservation was for 7:45pm but they somehow got seated before us. I took a look at the sunday specials menu, they sold out ofthe porterhouse steak which was one of their sunday specials. I ended up ordering a shell steak cooked medium. I received asteak that was very undercooked. Im not a fussy eater by any means so I attempted to eat it, after eating about 1/3 of the steakI brought it to the waitresses attention that I had ordered my steak medium but I had received a steak that was very rare.Waitress was surprised when she looked and said "oh wow". I asked her to put it back on the grill and she said ok no problem.When the steak came back the second time it was still very rare. The waitress came by to check up on me and without me evensaying anything she said "oh it still seems pretty rare". By now my family had finished eating and I did not want to holdeveryone up so I told the waitress "It is still very rare and not medium but at this point i dont even care, my family is doneeating" I did not finish my steak, I did not enjoy my meal, the waitress was aware, and still charged me full price for mysteak. The picture I have attached is when the steak came back the second time so you can only imagine how rare/undercooked itwas the first time around. Does this look like a steak cooked medium? I made a Reservation that they couldn't find but they quickly got us a table. The appetizer chosen by the waitress was OK. But... the meal more than made up for it. Enjoyed the steak, flounder, crab cakes, braised meatballs and salmon. Coming again!!!!! Read more
Stopped at Ruvo for lunch on our way back from the Vanderbilt Museum, Mansion & Planetarium. It was random but a great choice.... The decor is warm, the staff are friendly. The palate, portions, presentation, & price were just right. Read more
