Had such an amazing time staying at American Beech celebrating our wedding anniversary! The room was absolutely outstanding,... thoughtfully decorated and roomy! The staff was very communicative and helpful during our entire stay. Breakfast delivered tothe room each morning was such a nice touch. Best meal I’ve ever had in my life. The meals that the chef put together were a true piece of art and absolutely delicious.... Everything blended together and was seasoned just right. My steak was perfectly cooked and my wife’s pasta and shrimp was aswell. Jack was our server and he was great. He came at the right moments and didn’t steer us wrong with the dessertrecommendation. This is, I think to be the best hotel in Greenport. It’s beautiful, right in the middle of town, and right above such great... bars and restaurants. They’re dog friendly which is amazing, and even our room right above the bar, was quiet enough for my 2year old to get to sleep. We never want to leave, and Kayla (the receptionist during our stay) was the absolute best andamazingly helpful. The morning breakfast baskets to your room, it always an amazing plus. Some rooms are upstairs so check outtheir website before if you have some mobility issues. Read more
Loved our stay here!! This boutique hotel is so cute in such a beautiful location. The front desk was friendly helping us get... checked in. The desk is located in the boutique which had such pretty dresses. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall wehad a lovely stay and would def return. Read more
My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary this weekend with a stay here and had dinner at the restaurant. Lovely staff, cozy... and chic suite, and cannot say enough good things about the food! We will definitely return :) Read more
Fabulous looking hotel eclectic boutique feel. Checking was a breeze room was ready early. Black llama bar was definitely a... highlight. On the negative side the room didn't have a dresser so not sure how people stay for longer periods of time. Supercomfortable bed Great pillows. Location is the middle of everything if you're staying in greenport this is an obvious pick. Read more
Had dinner there. Great atmosphere and dog friendly. Ordered the striped bass which was very good but about half the size of a... real piece of fish. Also they would not let me substitute the starchy vegetables it came with anything else. Since I won't eathigh carb sides and I was served half a piece of fish, I left hungry and cranky and therefore can't see myself ever going back. Read more
I had a nice stay here in November. Weekday off season, so it was quiet and the bar wasn’t open. Late check in was uneventful... but unnecessarily complicated by an app I was asked to download but didn’t end up needing. The room was clean, spacious andstylish, with a comfy bed. I especially appreciated the facial masks and bathrobes. Breakfast came about 40 minutes afterscheduled, but that might be because they noticed we were out for a walk. It was a generous spread of bagels, fruit and otherfixings packed in a cute wicker picnic basket, plus hot coffee. Check out was also simple and the person working the front deskwas friendly and natural. There were even free cruiser bikes (rusty but otherwise in working order) that were great forexploring the area. The bikes compensated for the “resort fee” tacked on to a place that is clearly not a resort —standard for the area, but still in bad form. Hopefully the legislation currently in Congress against these will go through. Read more
