I have been to Anker a few times and every time it is a wonderful experience! I love the chill vibe of the place and how... friendly all the staff is. If you are a seafood lover like me (especially oysters) this is the place for you! I always pair itwith some bubbles - yum! Honestly, no matter what you choose on the menu, the food is always great! Amazing food! Exceptional service! We?ve been there last week with a group of friends. We sat at the deck and at first we... weren?t sure about the menu. Thank God for amazing server Kate who was sweet and personable and knew EVERYTHING about the foodand drinks. I think otherwise we would go somewhere else. I fell in love with ?smoky and herbaceous? Rose by other name. We arestill raving about the Clams with chorizo, mussels and the bass special. Next time we will try the Fish Collars. Beautiful spoton the water! Read more

The service could be better. We order a clam chowder and we had to wait around 10 minutes to get our spoons with the food... already on the table. When the server brought the spoons she was playing with them, not sanitary at all. The food was not betterthan the service. The chowder was broken and had bones! The oysters were terrible, full of water, sand and not even separatedfrom the shell. The positive thing about this place is the manager is willing to solve any issue and is open to criticism. This location has seen quite a few flips over the years but I have to say this is one of the better ones. Not just serving meals... and cocktails you are also able to purchase freshly caught fish to cook on your own. The rooftop are has also been nicelyupdated with a fresh cost of paint and clean seating. The oysters and wine is a nice mix of local and imported and the cocktailsare cute mixes. Overall it was priced decently and the service was friendly. I can see the place getting too busy due to itssize but it was perfect for afternoon cocktails after shopping greenport. Read more
Impeccable evening at Anker on the sheltered deck overlooking Peconic Bay. Service, drinks, and food were all fantastic. Our... waitress was knowledgeable and attentive, offering detailed guidance on the well-curated wine list, the local oyster selection,and menu options. We really enjoyed the tomato salad with ethereal whipped lemon ricotta and the fluke crudo with vanilla citrusconfit, but the highlight was the grilled halibut collars. INCREDIBLE dining experience! If you are a seafood lover and don't come here for lunch or dinner when visiting Greenport or... traveling through the east end of L.I you are depriving your palate and stomach of one of the best tasting and exquisitecombination of flavors and cuisine my family and I have ever come across. Pictured is just a few of the selections we hadincluding the watermelon salad, lobster, mussels, fresh fluke filet and a Rum cocktail that just scrapes the surface of themenu here at Anker.... We were a party of nine having a weekend getaway that were accommodated very professionally andgracefully by the manager and staff at this establishment... the upstairs deck was full, but we sat inside downstairs with openwindows and candlelight..... (it was a wonderful private like dining experience) Again, if you are looking for fascinatingflavor that comes to life on a dish you could only imagine, walk through the doors here and satisfy your craving for seafood!
