We had an amazing dinner at Halyard last night! It was my first time at the Sound View hotel and I was blown away by the... setting. Truly spectacular views and one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen. We ordered the hummus appetizer which was notlike traditional hummus but was absolutely delicious! Well there's a reason this a "must go to" restaurant - it knocks it out of the park in every way! Starting with the view, this... is a large, open and airy dining area with a glass wall facing the water so everyone can be memorized by the ocean waves. Thefood is at the higher end of the price scale but deserves every bit of it - a wide variety of choices that are expertly preparedand delicious. And there's no lack of staff paying attention to you. Another bonus - occasionally John performs piano in thebar next door and is so talented you might confuse him for Billy Joel or Elton John. I was here for a special event including dinner and dancing. The food was excellent, it was a buffet style for the event, and... the floors were great for dancing. There was plenty of room for all of us plus the band, the acoustics sounded fine, and all therestaurant and event staff were very polite and professional to use. I had a great time here! Read more
