In route from Charlotte to Raleigh I found this restaurant along the way. Ordered online and picked it up. I eat at Crab Du Jour... weekly in Charlotte and I'm always pleased. However I ordered black mussels boiled in a bag and so did my husband. The musselswere a pale grey color, they were too chewy and had a bad taste. I immediately called the manager Mike who responded no one elsehas complained. I asked if he'd be willing to sub it out for shrimp. He told me I would need to pay a $15 difference! Reallysir!?! I spent that in gas and time sir! But no worries just give me a refund and get this nasty, undercooked anything but freshfood back! Won't be going back to that location ever. Read more

OMG, best food I have had in a long time. I ordered the fried catfish. It came out hot, crispy, and seasoned perfectly. Wish I... had brought 2 orders. I also had one of the specials which included snow crab legs, shrimp, potato, and sausage with all thesauces. So freaking delicious. Just wished the sausages were cut a bit thicker. The food was so good I was having dreams aboutit. Only bad thing is that I live too far away to frequent this establishment often. If you want some good seafood, go to CrabDu Jour. Read more

I like this place better the others. The people are friendly, the environment is great, and the food is even better. They have a... family seafood meal to be shared that is more than enough, depending on your eating lol. I got the catfish platter for take out. The fish has no seasoning, it tastes literally like greasy breading and a piece a fish.... The sweet potato fries are cold and not even crispy a little bit. The best thing was the tartar sauce. Update: tried to getsome sort of compensation, not even wanting money back but a new order actually cooked to order and was told there was nothingthey could do. Gave several excuses as to why the food might’ve been cold when I live 5 minutes away, and was not trying tohelp resolve but only argued to no end. Don’t waste your time or money here. We absolutely love the seafood. My fiancé and I get the same thing every time because we fell in love the first visit.... Disclaimer, Crab Du Jour was my first ever experience with a seafood boil type meal... but it's still my favorite. The onlyreason I give 4 out of 5 stars is because the service is always slow even when the employees outnumber the occupied tables. Theycould use some better tableside training as well. Update: 05/08/2022 I have to let y’all know this spot has the best catfish around. I mean probably for all of Greensboro. The... catfish is fresh and crispy, also well seasoned! I’m still sticking to what I said about their service but their chef’s ????????????? definitely know what they’re doing! Good food poor service. Get delivery of you live close. Waitressdisappeared multiple times for 20 min+…. Plus they have a “ Service charge “ which is ghetto af…. Assuming theircustomers won’t tip for larger tables. Which was. Actually lower than what we would of tipped our waitress. Why don’t youpay your employee a livable wage? Anyways other that they have good food. Just poor service and customer value. Read more

As a Seafood Lover, my sons and I just had to try out Crab Du Jour....the location makes it even more appealing as it sandwiched... between two of my favorite stores, Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby. For a Saturday Evening the place was pretty empty (which I amNOT complaining about) The Hostess was so cool and her vibe was everything!!! Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but shedefinitely deserves Kudos for making us comfortable. Our waitress Morgan was phenomenal. So sweet and kept checking on us andbringing refills and explained anything we needed to know about the menu. My only complaint is that I wish there were moreoptions in the Combo Section, I am not a big fan of Mussels and you can't substitute any of the options in the Combos. My sonand I opted for the Family Feast and got 2 Lobster tails and double shrimp in the Garlic Butter Sauce. I also had Fried Calamarifor an appetizer. They were Crispy and delicious. Not rubbery at all and the sauce they give you to go with it was sooo good.Overall the food was pretty yummy and they give you a fair amount. I would never order a drink again though, it tasted likefruit punch. I don't expect get hammered at a restaurant but at least that warm feeling to let you know that you are consumingalcohol. New place in town. Don’t think they’d been open but a few days on our visit, but they’re game was spot on already. Fast... service, friendly wait staff, and great food selection. Wife had the shrimp basket, I had the crawdads. Pick your spice and heatlevel when ordering, and your steamer basket arrives quickly. Awesome hush puppy appetizers with melted butter, I added freshhorseradish for some kick. Vegetables in the basket were cook perfectly and the seafood not over cooked. Must try place if youlike Cajun style seafood. They offered PO boys as well as other items so your party should find plenty on their menu to keepthem happy. Great restaurant. We’ll be back. Read more
