This was my first time dining at this diner. I was there with a friend. There were plenty of parking spaces. Our server brought... out a wrong salad for my friend. It wasn't even close to what she had ordered, butmy guest ate it anyhow so it wouldn't bewasteful. I ordered a hamburger with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo, along with a side of fries. My fries were barely warm,but my burger tasted good. My server didn't check back on us for a while so my guest gleaned a bottle of ketchup from a tableacross the room. There was very little customer service but it wasn't due to her waiting on other tables. When the other guestsin the restaurant left, tables were left sitting dirty for a while and she appeared to be chatting casually with another staffperson. We had to request a to go box for the salad and our bill because the service was so bad. Due to the pandemic, staffingshortages are understandable. However, if I'm receiving table service, then I expect better than what I received. Farbetter. It's unlikely that I'll return to this restaurant anytime in the near future due to the incorrect food being broughtout and the very poor wait service. Read more

Cold food was okay, but called and asked if a food separator could be used on my hot items so they wouldn't taste like... styrofoam. The girl who answered the phone said she would do it, but you could tell by how she sounded that it wasn't going toget done...and it didn't. We usually eat at jakes diner once every couple weeks and I think I found something I like the best right now the Philly... Cheesesteak. The bread was soft and the fillings inside was really good. Got the Sunday blue plate special which was their fried chicken. Chicken was well fried and looked very crispy. Unfortunately it... was almost cold and not seasoned very well. The waitress was happy to replace it and apologized several times. The next batchcame out hot but tasted reheated a second time in the grease. Still no seasoning on the bird. Had green beans and Cole slaw asmy side's. Great slaw, beans underseasoned. The wife enjoyed her tereaki wings and Mac and cheese. Homemade chips were a littlecold. Much better chicken to be had in town so I'll pick something else from the menu if I return. Read more
Wasn't busy. Got seated and 15 minutes no one came to take order or bring anything to drink. Got up and left.
