I?ve been missing this place since the moment I moved from Greensboro earlier this year. An absolute staple of the community,... San Luis is the best Mexican food I?ve ever had. I now live in a much bigger city, yet I?m struggling to find a new spot thatmatches the quality of San Luis. The service is an absolute 10/10. Everyone there cares about giving you a memorableexperience. Incredibly kind servers and hosts. They all deserve raises. The food is ridiculously good. Dine-in or takeout, youcan?t go wrong either way. My go-to Mexican meal has always been enchiladas rancheras but they put love in EVERY dish. Fundido,fajitas, tacos, steak?whatever you get, it will be delicious. I?ve tried many items off the menu and have not once beendisappointed. Miss this place so bad. Ate there way too often during my days at UNCG. If I?m ever in the area again, San Luiswill be my first stop. Read more

First time at San Luis I. This place is nice and cozy but not as upscale as San Luis II. They brought me a huge basket of chips... and some tasty salsa. I was also asked if I wanted spicy salsa which was served in 2 bowls with a spoon. The red was very spicyand the green tomatillo salsa was very tasty. I ordered the Carne asada served with beans and rice. There was also a grilledgreen pepper(mild) and a grilled onion bulb, avocado salad, pico and an orange wedge. The sweet tea was very good. They alsogave me a choice of corn or flour tortillas. There was no way to finish off this food. My dining time was early evening and theywould have allowed me to order lunch which is extraordinary. Everything was as usual when I visit with one exception. My metal fork was not clean. Had food residue left on it (after... cleaning, I assume). Obviously, I asked for plastic utensils as I do anyways. Was on a business/friend dinner meeting. We bothrequested plastic. That would be my biggest complaint/ disappointment this visit. Read more

Was really disappointed with the service. Called in an order, went to pick up and was ignored inside for almost 10 mins, when... someone finally came to check my order, I think that?s when they finally put it in. Another wait, and food was ok, but not veryflavorful. Had a huge bay leaf in my watery ground beef enchiladas. Was hoping to find a new local Mexican joint, and this isn?tit. Read more
