Traveling through and so glad we stopped in. Food was great. I loved the loaded Mac. The staff was really friendly and the... atmosphere perfect. Def worth checking out. Also, there's a tree growing out of the courthouse steeple across the road.Apparently there's been a tree there for over 100 years. Cool stuff. Read more

This is the best smoked meat you will ever eat. The owner takes so much pride in what he does. I drive 2hours to eat here. It's... a clean,freshly made and a great value. The only negative is the new system to order you food. I really have a hard time withit. The staff under no circumstances will take your order. I mean even if your the only one there. I loved the personal touchthat you got before the new system. But,unfortunately the owner said that that this is just the way it is. He is such a kindand caring person it hurt my heart to see this change. I won't drive 2 hours again to feel like I am in a chain restaurant. Iwish him and his wonderful food much success. Read more

Stopped in at the recommendation of the locals, glad I did. Kiddo had the pulled pork sandwich, I had the Atomic Pony, we both... loved every bite. Great value for the amount of food you get and it's tasty to boot! I loved the Pony, nachos but better:pulled pork layered with kettle chips and BBQ sauce, topped with shredded cheddar. The Atomic has just the right amount of heat,the pork was sweet and moist, and the cheese married well with the jalapenos. I'll make a point of visiting whenever I'm comingthrough. Great vibes. That smell! As soon as you open the door that smokey smell hits you...I knew I was in for some good food & I wasn't wrong. The... Runaway Carriage is so filling! I've never had a potato so big. It was loaded with pulled pork, cheese, baked beans & sauce. Thesmoked potato was cooked through to perfection, & the pork was so tasty. Hubs had ribs & slaw...oh, my, fall off the bonegoodness! The dry rub mixed with something that I swear makes them a little like candied ribs. Order at the counter, find a seat(inside or out) & they bring the food to you. Service was excellent.
