Their backed potato (the original spud) was really good except for the 'rock hard skin' which we eat when it's edible; not this... one. And ordered a cold sandwich that was ok but had to toss the side we ordered, mac and cheese ...disgusting taste! Justawful and I'm a mac and cheese person but don't order this as your side - you'll be sorry! We may try them again if just forthe spud. Read more
Marginal at best. Sorry not Sorry. I ordered a sandwich that was supposed to come with spinach, it came with mixed greens. I... HATE MIXED GREENS! I can not believe this place! They were out of fruit cups tonight and instead of calling to ask if we wanted another side item,... they just sent our order out without offering something else to replace the fruit cup. When I called in to ask if they were outand why someone didn?t call the girl was very rude and tried to say she called but didn?t leave a message and I don?t have anymissed calls and noone else is having a problem getting through. Makes no sense and why wasn?t my friend told when it was pickedup?? My daughter has the flu and hasn?t ate anything all day and was looking forward to finally getting something she could holddown but when I expressed that to the girl never did she offer to make it right or even apologize! My wife and I started going to McAlister?s Deli back in 2011, we know 1st hand their quality of food, friendliness and... speediness of service. Regardless what has transpired since is NO excuse for the decline of quality of menu and attitude towardscustomers. Excuses for the decline should have absolutely NO bearing on everything I?ve mentioned and personally if there isn?tany improvement soon, just shut them down because there?s more shops opening up around town that can fill the ticket. Good food and service with debatably the best sweet tea in town. Has the perfect balance much like Chickfla tea. Every sandwich... I have tried here has been enjoyable. Can be a little pricey depending on what you order. Read more
I have not eaten at the McAlister Deli in a while, what a horrible experience. The people were rude and the food was not even... worth eating. If you have ever had a can of Hormel Chili then you have had the Chili at McAlister's. The only thing that wasdecent was the salad. Read more
After hearing the name for the umpteen time from people suggesting delis, we decided to have lunch there. Didn't realize you... approach the counter/register to order and by the time we did, quite a few people went ahead of us. Bad sign when nobody asks ifyou need help. Anyway, the young man at the register was very polite and explained the menu and described some food and gavesuggestions. Took our order and told us to take a seat (Surprised to see the cashier acting as a server and realized he was alsoacting as the busboy). The food that arrived looked limp- that's the only word I can use. I took a spoonful of the potato soup.Campbell canned soup. I turned back the Cole slaw because it had turned.
