The restaurant wasunderstaff. However, the only waitress took awesome care of us and all of the people dining in. She was very... attentive and provided excellent customer service. She explained the menu, promoted milk shakes, and made sure our toddler wastaken care of by offering their kids menu. She always checked in no matter how busy they were. We never stayed!! The waitress was angry for being the only one on the floor!! She wouldn't even look at us while we waited at... the door for 30 mins., and another group of people came in waiting about 20 minutes behind us!! There were plenty of tables shecould at least have us sit down to wait until she could get to us!! Instead she went around the tables in the middle about 3 to4 times checking on people who were completely fine, and still wouldn't look our way!! My husband went to say something, and thewaitress got mad!! She told us here is a clean table, but I don't have to wait on you!! I told her fine, we will not stay to betreated like that, and I left telling her I will turn her in!! She laughed, and said to who!! We will never go back!! I alwayshave enjoyed coming until that day!! We came a great distance as well!! I will never go back!! Our waitress was fine. The floor in the restaurant was disgusting. All the people working in the kitchen... did not have a hat or a hair. Is they all had slides on their feet. The place had no cleanliness at all. The shoe string frieswere so though thin it was like not even tasting the potato. Thankfully on the weekends kids eat free because I would not havewanted to even pay for my granddaughter. I barely wanted to pay for my meal and my daughters. Read more
Start this out by saying the burger was very very good. The fries were hot and fresh as well I have no problem with the food at... all it was very good. But the restaurant is in bad condition. The foyer stunk as I walked in the dinning room is dirty and fullof water marks and mold in ceiling. The bathroom reeks to high even. Sad. Read more
As I approached the drive through, an older lady taking my order greeted me by saying. " GO AHEAD" , meaning hurry up and order,... in a real nasty tone. Food looked disgusting. Fries were cold. Like 50 degrees cold. And here's a picture of the burger. Hotdogwas soggy and wet bun. Nasty. Never again. Upper management needs to look into this. Read more
Went with my fiance at the last hour. They are obviously short staffed right now but they food was amazing. Our initial server... got our drinks and had popped by once after and we weren't ready yet, she ended up on the phone, but thankfully the other womanthere could see we were awkwardly sitting so she came by and helped us! She was an amazing server and even though I know she wastired she gave exemplary service! I didn't get her name, but if you're seeing this, we had the garlic burger with Swiss and theold west burger, we split an oreo milkshake. Thank you for the amazing service! Read more
Me and my wife went here for lunch on Good Friday and there was a sign at the front stating that they were short handed so... please be patient with the staff. We thought that might be a problem but we were seated quickly, got our order in quickly andgot our food very quick too. The food was very good and the price was even better. We have had food service problems here in thepast with a full staff working so this was a pleasant surprise. Our waitress Jacqueline was very nice, attentive and was workingvery hard as well. As a visitor, I think this was my first Steak 'n Shake experience. I ordered it to go and the service was ok. It didn't take... long for my order, but it was 5pm on a Sunday night and there was only one table easting in. I wasn't however offered anycondiments. The milkshake was decent enough (although I think I prefer Chic-fil-a's). The burger was juicy and had a decentflavour. The fries however were very sorry...wish I'd given them a miss. Overall, it was OK but I don't find myself planning areturn trip. Read more
