Best Italian in CT! The food is delicious, staff is exceptional, and live music is the icing on the cake! Donna the hostess is... the sweetest and Avnor always makes sure my experience is great. Dining at Polpo Restaurant for the first time and I understood why they placed a restaurant inside of a house, because the food... and the atmosphere felt like home. First and foremost the waiters and their service was superb. Very attentive andaccommodating. We started off with a delicious seafood salad and some wellfleet oysters, which I must say those oysters wereocean nectar. My girlfriend ordered the 'Risotto of the Day' which came with shrimp, scallops, and radicchio. I ordered thesalmon and capers, with a side of garlic pasta and calms. Absolutely delicious! The salmon was cooked and seasoned toperfection, truly the best salmon I've ever eaten so far. If you're look for a restaurant that specializes in Seafood/Italiancuisine, this homey place would most certainly be it. Read more
Had Xmas dinner with a party of 5 people. Food was good service attentive. Food was fresh and served in the proper order and... pace. Our table was in the middle of the entry way which caused staff to stand behind a person in our party which was annoyingas they ate. We requested table to be moved and the staff moved our table. The food was absolutely delicious. The service left a little to be desired. If you're worried about Covid, it's a little rough,... since the valet parking staff won't let you park your own car and don't wear face masks. Otherwise, good experience. I stronglyrecommend the lamb chops. Read more
