Great restaurant. Best authentic Shanghai food I have ever had. Amazing place. Highly recommend. I love coming here to eat for... Christmas. I had Panoma Fish. The fish had ginger and black garlic sauce. The scallions added good flavor. The restaurant wasvery busy on Christmas. Read more

Shanghai Kitchen was one of the few Chinese restaurants that stood the test of time through all these years and has become a... mainstay in this neighborhood. With so many restaurants offering Americanized Chinese foods, it was a rarity for ShanghaiKitchen to always stay true to traditional Shanghainese foods. Not surprisingly, this was also the restaurant most frequented bypeople from Shanghai as they can find the familiar taste away from home here. Remember to ask Chef Zhou for some of hisrecommendations from the Chinese appetizers and specials. I was always delightedly surprised. Here are their pickled cabbage, roasted peanuts, seafood fish maw soup, braised eggplant, tea duck, dynasty fish with pine nuts, and hot pot intestine. Read more

Fairly decent restaurant with an amazing selection of dishes. Nothing stood out, but all the dishes we ordered were good. The... dining area is large and spacious. Food was a bit expensive for what it is. Still, a good option for Chinese cuisine in thearea. Read more

Excellent food! Best in town!!! The owner is super nice - he actually went out of his way to get me fresh lobster ( drove almost... an hour) since they didn’t have it on hand. Read more

Authentic Chinese in Denver FINALLY! I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Moved to Boulder area from Boston 2 1/2 years... ago and have tried numerous Chinese restaurants. This is the first that has been both authentic and had more than a handful ofmenu options. Be aware, there are two menus: American and Chinese. We had the beef in hot chili oil and cellophane noodles withpork off the “Chinese” menu. Outstanding! Order from “Chinese menu” if you want authentic food. Based on the quality ofwhat we had, I’m guessing they also do a wonderful job with Americanized Chinese food. FYI, there are more menu options on therestaurant menus than you see on the website. Just sorry we live 45 minutes away! However, it’s worth the trip. Read more

Fresh, impeccable cooking. The flavors and textures were authentic and delectable. If I had to mildly criticize anything, it... would be they used too much thickener in the sauces. Had absolutely the best braised pork belly of my life, tender, rich, with abed of smoky, crunchy bok choy. Classy ambiance and down-to-earth, friendly staff. There's a reason they have been recommendedto me so frequently, and I was not disappointed! Read more

First time to try 2021’s highest rated Chinese restaurant in Denver according to 5280 and Westword. Definitely impressed by... the duel menus of American-Chinese and traditional Chinese dishes(traditional menu pictured), great overall selection! Orderedxiao long bao (soup dumplings), guo tie (fried dumplings), minced pork and eggplant, “big plate chicken”, baby bok choy, anda pork and tofu soup. While the food was good, I was left with the nagging question, is this really the best in Denver? A newquest begins! Read more
