I am here in the good city of Griffin on business! I have been craving a good pizza and a restaurant that showed me the Griffin... downtown food culture! And, in my quest for this, I found Angelo's! This restaurant has been around this area for some time andI can sense that locals come here for some great food! Over a glass of Pinot Noir, I had the calamari and a 10" meat loverspizza! The calamari was very good and the pizza felt like it had just come out of a brick oven! It was delectable! On top ofthat, the owner walked by and checked on everyone--including me! I would definitely come back in a heart beat! On a side note, Idid not get to it, but they apparently have some phenomenal desserts as well! Keep up the good work! Read more
The food was amazing but the staff and their exceptional service is what made the experience worth writing a review. Everyone... was happy and pleasant. The chef made a point to go to each table that had any special requests on their order and directly askthem what they expected. He didn't ask a server to go back and verify, he cared enough to do it himself to ensure the order wasmade to the patrons expectation. My table did not have any special requests or exceptions but we definitely noticed theattention given to those that did. Kudos to the staff for caring and truly creating a great dining experience. I ordered linguini noodles and Alfredo sauce. It comes with mushrooms and onions and ham slices or something I guess which I... don't eat any of and had no idea it came on it. I could get past all that but it was absolutely disgusting. No taste very bland,seriously I'm not just saying that to make them look bad, it was horrible. My husband said it was disgusting and he will eatliterally anything. He said it was like water or sauce from a can with no seasoning and I'm talking NO TASTE. So verydisappointed in this $60 dinner tonight. Everything is so overpriced and it's not even good, I threw it in the garbage.. I gotmy son a cheese pizza and he ate it but he's 12 so who knows.. You couldn't pay me to eat here it was that bad even for thepizza. I can get pizza anywhere, I was craving some some good Italian food but this is not the place. First time trying this place with my wife. Short story, glad we did. I did not personally care for the chicken soup, but they... allowed me to switch so I got the clam chowder. It was very good. Cheese sticks, Fried zucchini, spanakopita was tasty. Iordered shrimp and crab ravioli in red sauce. My wife ordered lobster ravioli in white sauce. Both were delicious options. Theserver was very polite and attentive. The food came out quick and hot. We will definitely be dining here again. Read more
Had a nice dinner on my first visit here. They start you off with complimentary bread with heated marinara sauce. I had the... Greek Chicken Soup and the Pastichio. Both were very tasty. Service was excellent. Read more

I wanted to give this local place a five star review, but there was no cheese in calzones. It is not a very clean restaurant.
Ordered new york style pizza just cheese and man that is not new york style. It's nothing but thick bread, which doesn't taste... "fresh house made". Even the meatballs on the other pizza tasted like frozen processed food and $40 for 2 pizzas.. Went toslices and spent half that and the pizza is 10x better and actually don't advertise that it's "New York Style pizza". tLasttime I ate there about 1 and a half years ago it was better.
