First time there today, as we are relatively new to the area. The restaurant was lovely. The wait staff was pleasant, all of... them, even the ones who's sections we weren't seated it. The food came out in great time, hot and delicious. The place wasclean, and cozy and overall had a really great vibe. And since prices have gone up INSANELY everywhere.. I found their prices VSthe portions were MORE than fair. Loved it. I would happily recommend this place to everyone. And a big thank you to Alyssa,you were a joy from start to finish. ?? Read more
Food: Good Prices: Average (what you'd expect...one traditional breakfast, one omelette, 2 coffees=$36) Seating: Both indoor... (lots of room) and outdoor (in season) Cleanliness: Very clean Service: Friendly and very good Speed: Poor/inconsistent (fromthe time of entering, we had to wait over 20 min just to get our coffee, 42 min for breakfast which was pretty simple, and over80 min before we could get the bill. The 2 waitresses were constantly moving. One I think is experienced, the other newer. Athird woman (dressed all in black, the same as the waitresses) did no work that I could see in over an hour. Well, she swept thepatio for 37 min and walked around inside with nothing in her hands. A man wearing a long white apron (owner? chef?) also sweptthe patio for about 10 min (after which the other woman in black went to sweep it again), and as we were leaving, helped tobeing food to a table. We watched a single diner get seated, coffee and his food on the table in under 5 min. We saw anothersingle diner order the same breakfast but it took over 45 min for him to get his. The level of busy in the restaurant was aboutthe same the entire time...guessing about 10 tables of diners, so it wasn't that it was a busy time vs a quiet time. We had an awesome brunch at Elm Street Cafe. We were greeted at the door, seated and served with freshly brewed coffee as soon... as we sat. The entire menu including home fries are all freshly made in house. Sorry! It was so good, that I was late in takingpictures. Read more
Had a great experience! The owners hosted us. They came over to say hello!They were very nice and friendly,chatting with all the... customers. Servers were very attentive. Food was amazing! The best chicken quesadilla I've ever had. Will definitely go back.Idon't get to go to Grimsby very much but it's on the way to Niagara so will make a pit stop there for brunch. Read more
My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience here today. The staff were accommodating. Food was absolutely delicious. We... really enjoyed everything we've ordered. Even my niece enjoyed her chicken tenders, and she's very picky! She finishedeverything on her plate and she usually doesn't especially if she's not liking the taste. She also really enjoyed the milkshakes. Everything was really tasty--not salty, but tasty. Very flavorful. Everything was really good and satisfying. All thestaff was super nice and wonderful--from the host, to the owners, to the server. Truly grateful for such an amazing diningexperience at this location. Will definitely be coming back here. Breakfast, lunch or something in between, this little restaurant is the best place to go enjoy a great meal. The prices are very... good, especially considering how great the food is! Stopped by for lunch yesterday with my wife. There was about 25 patrons there when we arrived. We waited for quite awhile... before being served due to the fact there was only one waitress working (12:30 pm). The food was great, the server we had wasamazing, unfortunately the employer needs to loosen the purse strings and hire more help, the poor girl was running off of herfeet. This wasn't just a case of not finding help, we've been here before and the situation was the same. Read more
