We’ve been a few times now and each time we are blown away by the service. We feel like we’re house guests when we walk in... the door. The food is amazing and unique. I usually review a menu and only find a few items I’d like to try, but this menu hasendless possibilities. The house wine is some of the best I’ve ever had in Michigan, it’s pure and light. We recently gotthe hot cocoa tower and it was so worth it! We split it between 4 people and had left over overs. There were so many goodiespacked into it with so much detail. Bonus points for being family owned and operated! Read more

Found Garrido’s by happy accident. The food was amazing! The Paula’s dream salad is aptly named as I will dream about from... here out. The service was attentive and excellent from both our server and the owner herself. It is small but beautiful andcozy. Loved it. Read more

I came here with the intentions on eating something very plain because I’m always afraid to try new things. When my husband... invited me to dinner with his mom I quickly looked at the menu and agreed I was like sure worse case I’ll order Frenchfries. I decided to order the Lomo Saltado. I’m so glad that I did. It was Amazing. Great flavor. I think the sauce had redwine in it. I got mine with French fries which was good for the sauce. Our waitress Vanessa was absolutely wonderful andhelpful. I also tried some of the ponchos which I wasn’t so sure about but turned out to be delicious. Some things are alittle pricey but definitely worth it. I totally recommend this restaurant and look forward to going back. Read more

Fantastic, cozy, cute dinner spot. I'll be honest, a good part of why we went was to get one of the much lauded towering... desserts, which it turns out they were not making that night. I wish they had a released schedule for when they are making themas we really want to try them. But we could not have been happier or more impressed with the food, service, and ambiance. Forthose concerned about safety, all employees (servers and those in the semi-open kitchen) were masked and gloved the entiretime. The plantain chip nachos were a great and healthy way to incorporate a traditional ingredient into the dish. The guacamolehad a lot of fresh lime and cilantro, so a nice acidic counterpoint to the beef and cheese. We tried two of the bowls, mine wasshrimp with a nice spicy mayo, their yellow rice, a huge amount of shredded kale, and an avocado. My partner had their shreddedchicken, rice, black beans, fried sweet plantains land added their fried Venezuelan cheese (be aware it's a massive slab ofcheese if you use this add on). Large, filling portions. I also tried one of their traditional Venezuelan cocktails made withVenezuelan rum, passion fruit, lime, and sugarcane. Exceptionally well balanced, sweet without being cloying, just enoughacidity, didn't drown out the flavor of the dark rum, and left just a hint of alcohol esters. We'll definitely be back, justhope we can catch the desserts next time, though I can see them moving away from those as they more fully embrace traditionalfare. i grew up only a couple miles from here and it's nice to see such a unique place in the area. Have ya’ll heard of salt??? The food was so bland!! (You could at least put salt and pepper on the table…) The menu was not... what was shown in these pics. Where are all those shakes you tout? New ownership? Supply-chain issues? Everything was just ok. Idrove 45 minutes for lauded food but will not return. There is nothing to praise. Read more

I wish I could give this restaurant 10 stars, because they deserve every bit of a 10/5. We have been meaning to try this... restaurant for years, and I'm glad we did, because even with a 50 minute drive, we have been missing out! We prepaid for thedining experience, where you can choose your own appetizer, 2 main dishes, and a dessert , or you can get the chef's table. Weare huge foodies and we love paella, and Vanessa, our waitress and co-owner, was super accommodating about letting us do thechef's table, but also incorporating things we wanted to try. 1. Started with garlic bread- it was amazing... super flavor andjust the right amount of crispy. 2. Had the ceviche... delicious... filled with flavor and a huge portion. The tostones weredelicious, as well, but after seeing the size of the ceviche, we laid off of those, so we could have room for the rest of ourmeal. 3. The summer salad was one of the best salads we have ever had... we could literally eat that all day. It is sorefreshing and light, while bursting with flavor. 4. The paella was loaded with seafood and HUGE. Every bite had seafood in it,and it was delicious! 5. The steak and lamb chops were cooked to perfection. The lamb chops were some of the best we have everhad... like melt in your mouth amazing. 6. The chocolate molten cake and ice cream are a perfect dessert... many restaurantsmake it too sweet, but this wasn't... and the ice cream was so smooth and delicious too. We were stuffed, but couldn't let thisdeliciousness go to waste. 7. Even the cappuccino was delicious!!! We took a ton of food home and we can eat, so anyone thatthinks the portions are small is far from our experience. The price for the experience is so reasonable for what you get, thatthis would be a weekly stop for us if they were closer. I'm a sucker for mom/pop places, who put their passion into theirfood, and this place surpassed all of our expectations! We can't wait to be back and bring all our friends! Read more
