My wife and I love sushi and have been all over Connecticut and Rhode Island looking for the best sushi. It is safe to say we... have found the best sushi in Connecticut here at Ju-Sushi! Very talented chef, large menu, tons of options, fresh ingredients,great low prices for the tourist heavy coast, absolutely amazing! The Rhode Island location has the same results, very tasty!Despite having about a dozen different sushi locations in the area, most locals in Groton/Mystic and Westerly will tell you thatthe best place for sushi is Ju-Sushi, and it's hard to disagree! Best sushi place in the area and the best prices, always. Don't have much to say other than that they're delicious and I highly... recommend going here. However -- if you have a big order ALWAYS check to make sure everything is there. In a large order I endup having something missing (or wrong) every single time. Edit: I have returned to try the nigiri. And I can now confirm that this is the best sushi spot in Groton and New London. Don't... go to Sushi Kawa, don't go to Kyoto Steakhouse. This is it. Eating the nigiri allows one to truly taste the fish as it is notcovered by sauces like spicy mayo or doused in soy sauce. The fish freshness here is better than all the sushi places aroundhere; no competition. Good sushi. The rice was soft and at a good temperature. The quality of fish in the rolls was not bad.They have both traditional simple rolls and more americanized ones. I have eaten at many sushi restaurants/omakases in NY andPhilly. And I can say that this place is not bad at all. It is definitely the best sushi you can get in Groton. I wouldn't goanywhere else for sushi around the area than here.
