Normally I like Applebees, but today was a very unpleasant experience. Although the service from the staff was fine, there was... an EXTREMELY bad sewage-like smell that engulfed the entire restaurant. I mean I have never smelled anything like this whileattempting to choose a meal. It was absolutely horrifying. After ordering and receiving our drinks, my wife and I politely askedfor our check cause we could not bare be in there a minute longer. I pray people aren?t eating there today, because it isimpossible to serve any sort of quality food with that GOD AWFUL smell. Read more
We went with a large group for family dinner, we had lots of different alcoholic drinks and lots of picky kids. The food and... service was lovely. The waitress suggested a very yummy wine for me. Not only was everything nice but as we were leaving my 3year old vomited all over the floor. I was horrified but like 3 or 4 waitresses immediately jumped into action. Brought ustowels and some water for the baby. And they assured me that it's okay and they are mommy's too and they understood. Iappreciated that soo much. Good job! Read more
Food is always good at Applebee's. My steak was cooked as ordered. Mash potatoes were also really good. My daughter got her... usual... Whiskey Burger. ..her favorite. My grandchildren got chicken fettuccine. They love it. There was enough for them totake home. Read more
I would blame the issues we had on the Buckeye game, but the place wasn't even half full when we were sat down. We were sat... down, told that they would be right with us, and then waited another 15 minutes before we were even waited on at all. By thattime, we had figured out what food we wanted and were waiting for anyone to come over. The food was cooked and out quickly, andone of the burgers was missing bacon and also, when we asked for Ketchup, salt, and one person asked for mayo, the salt andKetchup made it out quickly but it took another 5-10 minutes just to get the mayo, and by the time it came out, the food it wasgoing to go on was cooled off. I got the bourbon street chicken, it tasted like it was precooked and warmed up then hadseasoning brushed on it. Husband's first time there and my first time in 10 years and it was AMAZING! The food was perfect. But I didn't like that it was... date night and they seated us at a 6 person high top table when their were plenty of smaller tables. We know they have arotation to follow but it was hard to get so high up.. The table was also sticky and broken. We both have severe anxiety andcouldn't gather the courage to complain. My server Erica was exceptional! She was very attentive, polite, and very helpful. I did have an issue with the food, however.... I ordered a full rack of the BBQ baby back ribs with mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were the highlight of themeal. The Mac and cheese had an upcharge as a premium side which is fine however what I received was a poor imitation ofupscale mac. It was supposed to be "4 cheese mac" but instead it had a watery bland Alfredo like sauce covering the noodles anda small sprinkle of a shredded cheese mix on top with a few bacon crumbles. I honestly would've preferred some regular box kraftmac and cheese instead. It was very bland and watery but not wanting to make a fuss I added salt n pepper to make it palatable.The ribs looked perfect but were unfortunately the worst part of the meal.I ate one rib and thought it was wayy too rough andrubbery as well as too peppery but thought since it was on the outside that it would be better on the more inner ribs. I ate onemore and the peppering was insane. Although my hands were covered in BBQ sauce all I could taste was the pepper and the texturehad only gotten worse. I did end up sending the ribs back because I just couldn't eat them like that. Eric was very kind andapologetic and did everything to make it right. Booked and confirmed with them a party for about 20 people. For my son's birthday on Oct 31st. Confirmed the day before. We show... up the day of and told by the manager sorry the other lady is new and we don't have staff. Well I called on two separateoccasions not just once. So my husband tells me they are turning us away (I was on my way with the cake) and we have 15 peoplefrom out of town standing in the parking lot waiting. I call to see what the issue is. The manager was rude and told me it's myproblem. I asked for district info and she wouldn't give it. On the fly we had to relocate a whole party while someone stayedthere for late comers to tell them where to go. It was horrible and the manager Pam was beyond rude. Read more
