This place is artistic. The food is fantastic. The angels in the kitchen are highly skilled and Krista is the best.

We went to Umi Sushi to celebrate our son and his academic accomplishments. Being a party of 8 it was evident that we were... pushing the limits of the restaurant. There was room for us and other guests, but it seems that a party of 8 is a stretch. Thefood was great, as always and they were quick to fire up their patio heaters to keep us all warm. First of all, this isn't really a Japanese restaurant. That doesn't mean anything bad per se. Korea has had a long and... contentious relationship with Japan, but cuisine synergies happen. The teriyaki popcorn chicken was delicious. Not as syrupy asauce as I thought it might be, and the chicken was fried perfectly. The miso soup was watery and bereft of tofu. The (included)salad was very well executed, and well thought out too. Beyond the call on that one. The fish for the sushi was OK, but notamazing. Presentation was excellent across the board. Good experience. When you first walk in you may be decieved by the small shake like restraunt, but once inside you'll find a... clean dining area with good food. Although not the most amazing sushi experience for me, it was good quality and yummy. Nicerolls and menu options and I would probably recommend this place based on the alternatives in the area.
