Lovely place for tea and snacks! Reservations are often required for quick seating as the place is almost always full. Wide... variety of teas and the sweets/food are absolutely delicious. Prices are very reasonable and 100% worth more than what you payfor. Outside seating overlooks the river and it's all around such a pleasant place to spend some time. Service is caring andfriendly too. Read more

Came across this lovely tea house while paddling on the Elora River. I love that you can just moor your watercraft at their dock... and go in for tea. Everything was delightfully delicious. Definitely returning. Read more

A casual #AfternoonTea awaits you in Guelph at The Boath House. We had a tea for 2 people ($25 each). Our serving included 3... basic sandwiches (cucumber, tuna, and egg) all served on brown bread. Each guest has 1 scone served with jam & whipped cream(which was watery/melting). Each person gets 2 sweets but there are 4 DIFFERENT sweets served on the plate. It was very weirdthat we had to share the 4 sweets by cutting them in half (or decide who would get which two). I've never seen this done before!Scone had a classic crumble and flavour; it was our favourite bite! Fresh fruit and flowers made for a pretty presentation.Overall, it wasn't enough food for us. Mis-matched tea cups & saucers add to the casual experience of this venue. It?s a cuteplace right beside the river (they have an outdoor patio too) where you can eat ice cream and rent canoes and kayaks. If youwant a casual, cheaper, and lighter meal, this Afternoon Tea venue is a cute option! #ontariotearooms Read more

The Boathouse Tea Room is situated where the Eramosa River and the Speed River connect. It?s a place to connect to ice cream... while visiting Guelph. It?s restored from a century-old boathouse associated with Guelph?s river systems. The pink shopoperates as both a popular tea room & an ice cream parlour. They are quite generous with the tasty selection of Shaw?s ice creamflavours. The cones are better than the ice cream cookies with dough that was hardened by chill time. There is a park beside theboathouse to calmly enjoy the treat & watch wildlife. Unfortunately I?ve not had the chance to dine inside the tea room itself. Each time I visit, they have indicated as being fully booked even when there were visibly empty tables inside and outdoorriverside. Hence docking a star from the experience! Read more

No one could have found a better okace to put an ice cream shop. The place looks so perfect. You really do not have to care how... the ice cream tastes, the surroundings make up for it. But the ice cream selection there is fabulous. Way too good. I can notjust wait to think how beautiful this place looks. Sit down, enjoy ice cream and soak in everything there Read more

Ambiance: This hidden gem has a very nice patio situated right next to the water. Perfect for a high tea brunch. The inside less... appealing to the eye but comfortable nonetheless. Unfortunately, there is wasp issue, we would have loved to enjoy the brunchoutdoors but due to the number of wasps, we asked to be seated inside (much warmer inside). There is an ice cream shop locatedwithout the restaurant (outdoor access). That was very popular as well Food: I really appreciate that they have a whole varietymenu instead of the basics. The high tea pricing is very decent compared to other places. The high tea assemble comes withsandwiches, scone, jam, whipped cream, sandwiches fruit & tea of choice. We also opted to trying other items on the menu likeEgg wraps & bagels, & summer salad. Everything was delicious. Service: They were accommodating and attentive. Definitely worthchecking out early.
