Always love coming here and the food is great. However, my last time here, we were "greeted" (if you can even call it that) by... one of the bartenders who didnt even say hello. She just said "bar or dining room." Once we said bar, she essentially threwmenus at us and gave us zero guidance on where to sit. If I was the owner of this business, and I had an employee that greetedcustomers like this, they would no longer be an employee. Made us feel unwelcome and unfortunately sort of ruined theexperience. Absolutely amazing food. We got the hummus plate to start which was really delicious and then our waitress Amanda recommended... the curry and the short ribs, which were a special tonight. This is becoming my new go-to place for a bite and beer. Service very caring and friendly. The food is fantastic good sized... portions served hot and is delicious. You it to yourself to go here enjoy great patio or indoor dining. You can even bringyour dog to the outdoor patio ! Love it !!. Read more
Mussels were fantastic and there was plenty of room on a beautiful weekend evening. But it took nearly 40 minutes for the food... to arrive ! Also highly recommend the Fat Duck IPA. Read more
A friend was there the week prior from Toronto and gave a great review for the Vindaloo wings. Today I met my son at Uni and we... went for lunch. These wings and sauce were fantastic. Also had a great full size serving of homemade squash soup and my son hada huge bowl of mussels. Nice clean pub atmosphere and friendly service. For sure I will be back to try the beer also. ???? I was so impressed with The Fat Duck! My husband and I went for dinner this evening. I got the steak and mushroom pie (pictured)... and my husband had the Sunday roast. My steak and mushroom pie was literally incredible. The inside had been cooked perfectly(especially the steak? it melted in my mouth). The ingredients were SO well balanced. Homemade puff pastry was fluffy, light andnot soggy. The fries were also super tasty. They came out hot and crispy, seasoned perfectly with salt and pepper and I couldnot stop eating them, even when I was about to burst. The service and atmosphere were also 10/10. Safe to say, we willdefinitely be back and look forward to tasting more from the menu! Read more
Went for the FIFA game and the owner set us up personally for our best comfort. We had an amazing time here. The food is... fantastic, the beer is always cold and the staff is welcoming. If I lived closer to here, I'd be at the Fat Duck all the time.Thank you. Read more
